We forgot about the dinner and ran inside. BOOM! the knock to the jaw was that it was very very very tiny! It looks ginormous in pictures compared to real life. The man playing Excite Truck was kind enough to retrieve his ID and turn in the Wiimote so we could give it a shot. I was overjoyed to have thrown my entire wallet at the EB clerk in order to hold the even more Wiidiculously small remote! He laughed as he put my wallet in a desk drawer. The weight felt nice, the plastic smooth, and the wrist strap... like a wrist strap. The clerk made sure to mention how it had to be secured in order for me to play the demo. I complied almost too fast.
I get back to the machine and immediately try to point at the tv. It didn't work cause excite truck doesn't use the pointer, I forgot. Well I made my way through 2 races before turning it over to my cousin. He went 3 and we decided to turn it in. BUT WAIT! we spied a second (2!) Wii remote in the drawer and asked if we both could give it a whirl, he said sure, and we VS'ed eachother, I won. and I hit the 'home' buttton...
I lit up like a christmas tree! A little hand appeared and moved across the screen. My hand. My hand that said player 1. Oh dear, a second 'player 2' hand was buzzing around as well. One of us chose to go back to the Wiimenu, so we did, and found ourselves creating Mii's in a flash.
Dr.Z had created 'Stroker' from "stroker and hoop", while I created a female charactor by the name of Violet. We played with the whistle options and had even placed our Mii's into player 2's wiimote! BTW, 'moved' is the wrong word, it really was copied.
Too much fun, the next thing we did was click disc channel. It worked and showed us Excite Truck. Excite Truck had this greyed out but readible option under sound:SD CARD. amoung SFX and Music volume.I bet custom SD tracks are an option.
After tearing myself away from it, I walked away with a realization. "Wii just told me to finish my psychology paper before the Wii-lease.
I will.
