Wii Need More Storage

,

Well, I know the topic is not new; nevertheless, we can't stop discussing it. It is a fact for most of us: The Wii needs a storage solution PRONTO.

And although Nintendo has dismissed this in the past, apparently they have begun to address the issue. This time it was Reggie Fils-Aime, NoA's president, who came up to the stand in an MTV show and accepted this is an urgent and priority issue, at least from an American point of view (he is, after all, president of Nintendo of AMERICA)...

Check out the rest of the post to read the qote.
Via IGN (who in turn, got it from MTV)

"From an Americas-centric perspective", Fils-Aime diplomatically stated, "here is the reality we see. We have a consumer base who loves virtual console. We have a userbase who really is enjoying WiiWare content. So for us really our challenge really is how do we satisfy all these consumers who are loving all of the product we make available on a download basis?"

Of course, it's not just download content that's putting a strain on the Wii's limited flash storage: "As we continue to have things [...] like Mario Kart that has its own channel when you're playing from an Internet perspective, we're just making this challenge tougher and tougher. So in our view this is becoming much more of a mainstream problem, which is why we have a sense of urgency to solve it."

So, the buzz about a real storage solution for the Wii coming out soon is really getting louder. Although Reggie did say they were just not ready to announce anything official just yet, it does give us some hope... right?
