Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Gets a Date (Comes With a Price)

, , ,

Once again Sega is desperately trying to convince us that this time around they FINALLY got the "Sonic" charm back and got a Sonic game right. Well, we're still waiting to be amazed. In the meantime, and after delaying the game to 'allow for more development time' (code for 'we still had crap as a game and other titles would eat our sales' more likely) the company has announced that the 2D-platformer will hit all major consoles by mid October.

For Nintendo's console, the game will be distributed via WiiWare and will set you back 1,500 Nintendo Points if you want to download the game to your Wii and it will be available on October 11th in the US; Europe folks will have to settle for October 15th. This is only the first episode of the game, and just how many episodes they plan to release is still a mystery.

I was expecting 1000 points, or 1200, but 1500. Yowza.

Three episodes and that's just as expensive as a 'regular' game... So they BETTER get it right this time...
