The latest Project Cafe rumors

There has been a ton of speculation lately involving Nintendo's next gen console, that rumar has it is called "Project Cafe" for now. Here we have gathered up many of the rumors we have found around the interwebs. I know that the Miyamoto/Pikmin cartoon here makes you feel like Pikmin 3 is on the way to Cafe, but sadly that is NOT what we have heard yet, it's just something we want to happen.

First, a 3DS rumor:
- much-loved FPS getting a 'port' to 3DS (most likely Conduit, which we have seen in the works)

Hit the jump for the latest Project Cafe rumors:

- Rockstar has a dev kit, working on GTA V (which is sure to hit PS3/360 as well)hoping to have it available at launch
- system still looking at a late 2012 launch (June in Japan is last we heard)
- expect tech demos and some games shown at E3
- Square Enix, Capcom, Sega, Konami, Activision, Rockstar/Take Two, Electronic Arts, Namco and Ubisoft all have development kits (each company has at least one game in the works)
- Nintendo really reaching out to third parties
- Nintendo may hold back 1st party games at launch to help promote third party offerings
- StarFox for the Wii successor is in early development stages
- storage solution at work that should do away with the issues third parties had on Wii
- revamped downloadable service
- Nintendo considering launching Skyward Sword around the same time Wii's successor hits
- Hideo Kojima approached about Wii successor
- Resident Evil game being worked on for Wii successor
- Retro working on a Wii successor game, not related to Metroid, taking on “a project everyone wants us to do” (information comes from two sources within Retro)
- Retro was amongst the very first to receive a development kit and have been working ever since on a new project for the Wii successor

Actually I think it did. Had the mario game been ready at launch I don't think any of those third party games would have sold as well as they did.

I don't think it will be a Mario game... I hope to see Raven Blade, a game that Retro Studios show at the E3 in 2001 and then was deleted because of metroid prime http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGwcNdUozlY

Some sources have said F-Zero or Starfox. I'm excited for any of them, I haven't played any of the two.
