AC:Wii Bug Help

Here we can help each other figure fill in the Bug room at the museum post what bugs you caught, when and how!

Thursday, 20. November 2008, 12:35:11 (edited)

I have caught so far in late fall:
  • Monarch Butterfly - Noon (flying around, usually around lots of flowers)
  • Bee - ANY TIME/ALL YEAR (use the d-pad to pull out your net super-quick after dropping a nest from a tree, then swing the Wii-remote)
  • Long Locust - Morning to Dusk (hoping around the ground everywhere)
  • Migratory Locust - Morning to Dusk (hoping around the ground everywhere)
  • Mantis - Morning to Noon (found on different flowers, will fly away if disturbed)
  • Orchid Mantis - Morning to Noon (I find mine usually on white roses, but also found on white pansies)
  • Cricket - Dusk to Night (hoping around the ground everywhere)
  • Mole Cricket - All Day (You can hear them but can't see them. When you get to where they sound loudest start digging!)
  • Walkingstick - Morning to Dusk (Very hard to see, but are on the front of trees, walk slow around town when hunting them) I am seeing most of them at around 5:30 AM
  • Bagworm - All Day (shake trees and they drop down on a silk string like spiders)
  • Flea - All day (seen and heard only around animal neighbors. Neighbors get fleas, so catch it off the neighbor and then speek to them)
  • Pill Bug - All Day (hit rocks with the shovel and sometimes they pop out)

If anyone has other bugs or can add information chime in!

Centipede - Night - Today is November 19

Hit rocks with a shovel and he pops out. Very big and red - cannot be mistaken for a Pillbug.

Fly - ANY time, ANY day of the year. Put trash outside and then flies start to buzz around the trash.

you should still be able to get mole crickets, flys, bees, pillbugs, and supposedly ants.

- and cocroaches should start appearing now if they match Wild World.

- Violin Beetles - maybee i don't know enough about em yet because they are new. try leaving a tree stump or two or three around and see if they are also "winterised"

- Centipedes are probably still around too.
