SIR OBED DANSO-MIREKU SENIOR

SIR OBED was yesterday indcuted into the HALL OF FAME of Early Bird School along with 26 others during the School's 10th anniversary celebrations. The Citation that went with the induction read

We are pleased to inform that SIR OBED DANSO-MIREKU SENIOR has been re-called
and is now expected to return to head the Sports Desk of Radio Univers, the station's administration
has confirmed.

A letter from the the Radio Univers Administration to SIR OBED dated 14th May, 2010 and signed on
behalf of the station Manager by Evelyn Amnuke and copied on the station's notice board read at the
beginning " I have been directed by the station Manager to recall you from your suspension which begun
on January, 22 2010"

It would be re-called that SIR OBED was withdrawn indefinitely from the Sports Desk by the University of Ghana authorities after allegations of improper reportage concerning the University of Ghana's withdrawal from the 3rd West Africa University Games Football and Hockey Championship that took place in Nigeria earlier in the year were leveled against him by the University's director of Sports.

The letter did not say whether or not SIR OBED was guilty of the allegations.

Though SIR OBED continued with other duties at the Station, He has not been engaged with the Sports Desk.

He is expected to meet the station's Programs Manager to complete formalities which will pave way for his return.

Immediately after the announcement of his recall SIR OBED released a statement which can be read hehe.
