By all means let's drill for oil In ANWR and along the coasts. Let's also cut down all the trees, pollute the rivers, streams and lakes and increase carbon dioxide in to the atmosphere. Let's not leave our posterity anything except an enormous high national debt.
We may as well use up the national resources and increase the national debt. Future generations will not be here to need anything nor pay off the national debt.
We now have enough nuclear weapons to destroy the world several times over. If we keep escalation war for oil, we will be seen by the world as the aggressor. Most of our former allies will turn against us. Each side will develop and use stronger weapons until we have a nuclear holocaust. Then the good earth will be a war torn uninhabitable planet for millions of years.
Eat, drink and drive your SUVs, for tomorrow you die.
Report on Saturday's OKC Peace Rally (with "Eagles" counter-demo)
At 10:50 am, when Nathaniel Batchelder and Tom Gallagher arrived, there was one "Eagle" in place with a couple flags and a sign saying, "We support the troops." Batch introduced himself, but she - a no-nonsense and physically powerful woman - wasn't interested in much conversation. Batch said to her, "We support the troops too," and she replied, "But we support the mission." Batch let it go at that.
John Walters arrived with all our signs and flags and "the regulars" began setting up our stuff. By 11:15, there were about a dozen of us and no other Eagles had arrived. Her "Eagles" flags and sign began to look more and more like just part of our rally, which was fine, but I'm sure I wasn't the only one feeling some sympathy for her (and some relief).
Several came specially to offer a nonviolent presence had there been a difficult confrontation with "Eagles: - Tom Gallagher, Margaret Cox, Ellen Watson and Gail Sloop are all skilled in non-confrontational peace-making, and it was clear that "the peace forces" were ready, had there been "a situation."
When Warren Henthorn (Gold Star Dad whose flag proclams, "Let them not be forgotten," she thought she had an "Eagle" ally. "No," clarified Warren, I definitely want peace and the troops home." When Michael Trapp arrived with his large America flag, she thought he must be an "Eagle" too. "No," said Michael, "I'm with the peace movement."
By the time our large signs were stretched from Meridian Ave east for some 75 yards, her "Eagles" flags and sign really looked like "part of us." There was lots of supportive honking, and - I believe - only one or two apparent negative reactions to the call for peace. The tide has turned on the war.

It was really pretty funny. There was only one hater there, who at first we thought was a man but turns out it was a chick. She planted 4 big flags, which were 2 US flags and 2 Gathering of Pigeons flags. Actually the flags say Gathering of Eagles. She stood by the side of the road, amid her flags, holding a sign that said simply, "Support our Troops". It really looked like she was with us, and we didn't tell her. She got flipped of and screamed at by her own kind, it was awesome. One guy on a motorcycle almost jumped off of it to come at me. He flipped me off and looked right at me and said, "Fuck You!" So I nodded and smiled at him. That made him madder. He started screaming, "I'll bomb Iran!" and the pigeon lady tried to hold her sign up so that he would recognize her as a fellow war lover. He should have known she was on his side because of course she was, her sign said "support our troops."
The pigeon lady kept turning around and taking our pictures. It was creepy. I'm sure I'm totally dogged out on some webpage somewhere right now.

your Network NBC has refused to let Kucinich
in the Las Vegas presidential debate. It concerns me when
networks
decide our democracy for us by airing or refusing to air candidates for

the fight against corporate anti Americanism who chose to silence those

Dennis Kucinich campaign for President is fuming mad at NBC.
Despite
meeting requirments the network set to participate in the debate and
getting invited to participate, the network changed their criteria and
now plan on only inviting Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John
Edwards to their debate on January 15th.
The Kucinich camp wrote in a press release:

invitation to Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich to participate in the
Jan. 15 Democratic Presidential debate in Las Vegas, the network
notified the campaign this morning it was changing it announced

Just yesterday, Newsweek reported that Cheney had recently made overtures to Israel to get them to launch an attack against Iran, to try to provoke an all out conflagration. I have been in contact with collateralrepairproject.org They are an organization created to help the Iraqis. I found them by accident when I was cleaning off dead links from my political blog. My section for Iraqi blogs gets smaller unfortunately, but on one of them I found this organization.
It is sad that we here in America don't really know what is going on over there, not that we don't care, but the news does not cover it.
So I sent them a message telling them that I couldn't help them financially as my wife has lost her job but that I would like to post news updates from Iraq on my many blogs as there are many here in America who are curious and we need to know. If the American people could see that our occupation over there is not helping them but instead hurting them, maybe more of us would demand that this bloody mess end.

Mr. Powell said, if you brake it you bought it, but we can't offord it and it was never ours to buy, as Iraq was never up for sale, and why should it be bought with the blood of our soldiers and future poverty of our children.
I say if you brake it, you apologize, pay better attention next time and not do the same thing next time and help fix it. What Powell gave us was the pottery law and if only the Iraqis were pottery we could all feel better about this. The Iraq study group suggested that we sit down with Iran, Syria and al-Sadr.
Bush has decided to ignore this and instead, escalate. Against the better judgment of Rank and File, and even John McCain has reservations that we will not be able to escalate this enough to win.
What we keep hearing is that we can't loose. Can't loose what? Oil contracts?
The Iraqi's want us out of there, they know what is best for them and we don't have a right to their oil. This is just wrong.
Instead of turning enemies into cooperative neighbors, instead we will have more enemies.
Every human being has the right to eat and drink safe water. We have taken this from them and offered them Democracy and now tell them that their Democracy isn't good enough, we will do what we want anyways. Mr. Bush even tells us that our Democracy doesn't know any better.
al-Sadr says he will send our boys home in wooden coffins and in the end we will leave without our oil contracts leaving behind starving children who have grown up in fear with a hatred for the United States as possible future terrorists.
Stop this madness, as a responsible human being you must, as our representatives, you are required to serve the publics better interests.
Instead the White House serves the oil companies, defense contractors and Sadie Arabia who has profited greatly off of this. Even China who earns interest on the money they loan us for this. But the American people have already lost while being fed a lie that they must continue loosing.
12/08/06 "Lew Rockwell" --- I'm sick and tired of this patriotic, nationalistic and fascist crap. I stood through a memorial service today for a young Marine that was killed in Iraq back in April. During this memorial a number of people spoke about the guy and about his sacrifice for the country. How do you justify 'sacrificing' your life for a war which is not only illegal, but is being prosecuted to the extent where the only thing keeping us there is one man's power, and his ego. A recent Marine Corps intelligence report that was leaked said that the war in the al-Anbar province is unwinnable. It said that there was nothing we could do to win the hearts and minds, or the military operations in that area. So I wonder, why are we still there? Democracy is not forced upon people at gunpoint. It's the result of forward thinking individuals who take the initiative and risks to give their fellow countrymen a better way of life.
When I joined I took an oath. In that oath I swore to protect the Constitution of the United States. I didn't swear to build democracies in countries on the other side of the world under the guise of "national security." I didn't join the military to be part of an Orwellian ("1984") war machine that is in an obligatory war against whoever the state deems the enemy to be so that the populace can be controlled and riled up in a pro-nationalistic frenzy to support any new and oppressive law that will be the key to destroying the enemy. Example given – the Patriot Act. So aptly named, and totally against all that the constitution stands for. President Bush used the reactionary nature of our society to bring our country together and to infuse into the national psyche a need to give up their little-used rights in the hope to make our nation a little safer. The same scare tactics he used to win elections. He drones on and on about how America and the world would be a less safe place if we weren't killing Iraqis, and that we'd have to fight the terrorists at home if we weren't abroad. In our modern day emotive society this strategy (or strategery?) works, or had worked, up until last month's elections.
My point in this; to show that America was never nationalistic. If anything they were Statalistic (giving their allegiance to the state of their residence). This is shown in the fact that the founders created states with fully capable and independent governments and not provinces that were just a division of the federal government. These men believed that America was a place where imperialistic values would be non-existent. Where the people trying to make their lives better by working hard, thinking, inventing and using the free market would tie up so much of normal life that imperialistic colonization and the fighting of wars thousands of miles away for interests that are not our own would be avoided. They believed this expansion of power could be left to the European nations, the England, France and Spain of their time. However this recent, and current influx of nationalistic feeling has created an environment where giving up your rights, going to a foreign country to fight a people who did not ask for us to be there, nor did their leader do anything to warrant us being there, and dying would be considered honorable and heroic. I don't believe it anymore. I don't believe it's right for any American to go along with it anymore. Yes I know that we in the military are bound by the UCMJ and somehow don't fall under the Constitution (the very thing we're suppose to be defending) but sooner or later there is a decision that every American soldier, marine, airmen and seamen makes to allow themselves to be sent to a war that is against every fiber this country was founded on. I know that when April rolls around I will be thinking long and hard on that decision. Even though we in the military are just doing as we're told we still have the moral and ethical obligation to choose to do as we're told, or to say, "No, that isn't right." I believe that if more troopers like me and the professional military, the officers and commanders, start standing up and saying that they won't let themselves or their troops go to this illegal war people will start standing up and realizing what the heck is going on over there.
The sad fact of the matter is that we are not fighting terrorists in Iraq. We are fighting the Iraqi people who feel like a conquered and occupied people. Personally I have a hard time believing that if I was an Iraqi that I wouldn't be doing everything in my power to kill and maim as many Americans as possible. I know that the vast majority of Americans would not be happy with the Canadian government, or any other foreign government, liberating us from the clutches of George W. Bush, even though a large number of us would like that, and forcing us to accept their system of government. Would not millions of Americans rise up and fight back? Would you not rise up to protect and defend your house and your neighborhood if someone invaded your country? But we send thousands of troops to a foreign country to do just that. How is it moral to fight a people who are just trying to defend their homes and families? I think next time I go to Iraq perhaps I should wear a bright red coat and carry a Brown Bess instead of my digitalized utilities and M16.
Notice I never once used the word homeland in any of this. I have a secondary point I want to bring up now. Never once was the term homeland ever used to describe the country of America until Mr. Bush began the department of homeland security after the 9/11 attacks. Taking a 20th century history class will teach us that the most notable countries in the last century that referred to their country in this way were Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia. Hitler used the term fatherland to drum up support, nationalistic support, for his growing war machine. He used the nationalism he created in the minds of the Germans to justify the sacrifice of their livelihood to build the war machine to get back their power from the oppressive restrictions the English and French had put on them at Versailles. This is the same feeling that has been virulently infecting the American psyche in the last hundred years. This is the same feeling that consoles a mother after her son is killed in an attempt to prosecute an aggressor's war 10,000 miles away. It's also known as Patriotism these days, but I say, "No more." No more nationalistic inanity, no more passing it off as patriotism. Patriotism is learning, and educating oneself to understand what their country really stands for.
I heard a lot during the memorial service about how the dead Marine did so much good for others and how his helping others was like a little microcosm of America helping because we have the power to do so. Well if we have the power to help people why aren't we helping in Darfur where hundreds of thousands of people have died in the last 10 years. Saddam was convicted and sentenced to death for killing 143 Shiites who conspired to assassinate him. (I know all you "patriotic" Americans would be calling for the heads of anyone who conspired to assassinate supreme leader Bush). And yet we spend upwards of 1 trillion dollars and nearing 3,000 lives to help these Iraqis when they don't even want us there. Not to mention we don't have the legal justification to be there. I guess we should wait around for the omnipotent W Bush to decide who we should use our superpowerdom to help next. It's about time to throw him and the rest of the fascists out. Moreover it's about time to start educating Americans about their past and history, and letting them know that imperialistic leaders are not what the founders of this great country wanted.
Philip Martin <grimmythedog@netscape.net> has been a Marine for 2 years. He is in the infantry (a "grunt"), and spent 7 months in the al-Anbar province of Iraq. He went on more than 180 combat patrols in and outside of the city of Fallujah, where he was hit with 2 IEDs (luckily never injured) and was involved in a number of firefights. He is currently stationed in Twentynine Palms, CA, and due to return to Iraq for a second deployment in April 2007. He is 21-years-old.

The Commander in Chief Must Be Relieved of His Command
I could come up with at least ten reasons why Bush should be impeached. With a little bit of research I could give you all kinds of details, and that's just what I could find. Could you imagine what I would learn if Congress ever does the investigations, which, so far I'm hearing, they won't.
I can remember back in the days of Noe's Ark when they were talking about impeaching Clinton because he lied to the American people about an affair he had with another women, must have crushed his wife. How embarrassing it must have been for America when it was decided to publish all the lurid details on the new Internet for all to download.
We know that Bush isn't as bad as Clinton, he didn't really lie, he just didn't tell the truth. Because he knew that the Intel was iffy and he just failed to include that in his presentations, could have been a mistake, we all make mistakes. To bad though that thousands have died, but hey, they volunteered to die, that's what people tell me.
Let me tell you a story about the aircraft carrier called the Forrestal. When I was in the Navy, we used to call it the Forestfire. They would show the movie to us almost every chance they would get about how the Forrestal just about burned up, but thanks to a brave crew, they were able to put the fire out and save the ship, unfortunately though, hundreds died. Everybody on that ship received a medal for their bravery, but the Captain of that ship was relieved of his command because that fire should not have happened and he was the Captain, the one responsible for the ship.
Now we have a Commander in Chief who has lost thousands of lives because of his mistake and he should be relieved of his command.
We the people are the ones responsible for demanding just that, and if we were good leaders, we would do just that. We would demand that Bush be impeached because thousands have died because he didn't tell the truth and it is not ok.

This morning I was really depressed, I stayed in bed praying to God to give me the strength, and you know, I'm just feeling sorry for myself, I'm really a very lucky person and I know it.
I've been a member of theologyweb for some years. Had a small spat with them back then after Bush was elected the second time and I told them to cancel my account then and they didn't, and I figure oh well.
I decided to go back there before the November elections, because for me to preach about God's love, peace, save the earth and feed the poor here or only places where everyone agrees with me doesn't accomplish much. But to go to theologyweb where most of those there voted for Bush, are Republican, pro war and believe they have a right to be rich and its to bad others are poor, its to bad they don't have the faith they have.
Needless to say, I don't believe I converted any of them and I am covered with cuts and bruises from all the stones and am fixing a bath to wash off all the dirt. Once again I have told them to cancel my account, and if they don't this time, I'll get a lawyer, because I don't want to be a part of their advertisement they flash on their web page, we have so many # members.
I'm not a Christian, but I respect the Christian faith and I know their are good Christians. The Amish, the Mennonites, the Salvation Army and I'm sure there are others. People who really believe that we should try to follow the teachings of Jesus but might disagree with me on just who Jesus is.
But there are people like Bush and his followers who call themselves Christian and they are not. If Jesus returns, he will send them to the Ghetto and put the earth under the rule of the Amish and those like them. The meek shall inherit the earth, and these arrogant, selfish, uncaring hypocrites who believe they are privileged and should live life in pleasure, they will live in tents.

Veterans For Peace Statement on the Fighting in Lebanon-Gaza-Israel
After 2 Israeli soldiers were captured in a July 12 border raid by Hezbollah guerillas, the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) response has been a massive air and land assault and sea blockade against the whole country and people of Lebanon.
The human costs have been overwhelming. At this writing, 542 people, mainly civilians, are confirmed dead and Lebanon's health minister estimates the number killed to be over 750, including those bodies not yet recovered. More than 750,000 Lebanese citizens have been forced to flee their homes as refugees.
In retaliation, Hezbollah fighters have been firing rockets at cities in northern Israel and ground combat is taking place in southern Lebanon. So far 33 Israeli soldiers have died in fighting and 18 civilians have lost their lives from rocket attacks. The number of wounded on both sides remains unknown.
Veterans For Peace universally condemns the targeting of civilians by both sides and calls for an IMMEDIATE CEASE-FIRE and for negotiations involving all concerned parties to resolve all border disputes and prisoner release issues and to establish a secure, demilitarized border between the two countries.
However we cannot ignore the unjustified and totally disproportionate use of force and violence by the IDF. The Hezbollah incursion was a provocation but the massive Israeli response is nothing less than full-scale aggression against the entire Lebanese people.
Israeli attacks have taken place against airports, roads and bridges, communication, power, oil storage and other basic infrastructure facilities throughout the country as well as residential areas in major cities. The entire population of southern Lebanon has been ordered to leave the area as it is being turned into a "free fire zone".
As this offensive is taking place, the IDF is continuing their "second front" attacks against the Palestinian people in Gaza, targeting elected officials, government institutions, villages and refugee camps in their hunt for "terrorists".
As US citizens we find it shameful that, for the first time in our history, our government has refused to call for an end to hostilities and continues to openly fan the flames of war. Secretary of State Rice has repeatedly said that it is "too early" to stop the killing. The Pentagon has rushed new shipments of laser and satellite guided bombs to Israel to continue their assault. Both Houses of Congress voted overwhelmingly to support Israel's war.
It is no wonder that the United States is being condemned in the Middle East and throughout the world as an accomplice to aggression.
This is the wrong direction that the Bush administration has taken our country. What is happening in Lebanon cannot be separated from the illegal and unjust invasion and occupation of Iraq. Believing that "war is the answer" they have encouraged and abetted others to follow that same bloody course.
As a result, the flames of death and destruction are raging even higher in the Middle East today. In spite of ringing rhetoric from the White House about "creating a new, democratic Middle East", US and Israeli military actions are only creating more pain, anger and resistance.
It is the time for the United States to change course and the first step is to support an immediate cease-fire and an end to the killing.
In Tennessee a school teacher is given an additional 7 years in prison for sending her 13 year old boy friend nude pictures of herself. She's pretty good looking, the 13 year old I'm sure is proud, but he shouldn't have shown those pictures to anyone - young and dumb I guess.
When I was 13, there were a few teachers I had that I wouldn't have minded seeing nude pictures of. Should that have ever happened, I don't believe I would be anymore blinded than I am now.
Is the teacher wrong - ofcourse. What did she think she could get from a 13 year old? So what, send her to prison for seven years for being stupid - I think counseling would be more appropriate, somebody buy that 13 year old a beer (just kidding).
Israel goes to war over kidnapped soldiers, what is really stranger is that they don't return the soldiers, they return fire, and if it continues, you know sooner or later the U.S. and Iran could be involved and this could turn into a world war. I was raised up to believe that a third world war would be between us and China or Russia. This could really twist due to our need for cheap oil, the whole world could turn on Israel just like some people believe is bible prophesy (that's scary).
Global warming, while it should be on the top of the list, it falls under the teacher and the middle east. I don't think we have our priorities straight. I think we are in trouble. I'm going to tell you now, I don't know how I know, but next year the weather will be real bad and it better wake us up. We better stop all fighting. We better start fixing our atmosphere.
One of two things is going to start happing - Jesus will return or the dark ages will once again revisit the earth. I hope Jesus returns.
This was a question given in a locally produced office newsletter. The answers were good but incomplete. This once was a mystery to me but now I understand.
Before the war started our state of Oklahoma was in real trouble; we were closing schools because we could not afford to pay teachers. Firemen and Policemen were being laid off, my wife being a teacher was told by a school official to hope we go to war because then the money will flow. I asked my supervisor where I work about this and his reply was that there would be more spending, but I don't think he or I knew that there would be more spending on GAS.
In an earlier article it is said that several years ago (before Desert Storm) a red circle was drawn around Iraq indicating that no oil was to flow from her. Why? Because then the price of oil would go up and the oil companies would make more profit. A large group of oil investors have invested great sums of money having been reassured that there would be a high return. After Desert Storm Oil Prices didn't go up and Bush Sr wasn't reelected. Once they make all the profits they feel they deserve, they will divest themselves and invest in other things, hopefully before it is to late to turn that tidal wave aimed to destroy our world.
So what does this have to do with the state of Oklahoma. Besides a lot of folks who have oil investments who we know will now pay less taxes but spend more money in our state, everyone will now pay more GAS tax. The prophesy came true, Oklahoma actually had a surplus and the legislators were gracious enough to issue a tax refund and the rich are being given a tax cut. Aren't they so nice for lowering taxes and giving us a refund, maybe, but actually what nobody seems to be discussing or questioning is the tax we pay on GAS, we pay more of it then we ever have, and its actually called a tax and we are actually paying more of it to both the state and fed. So the tax refund is actually them giving some of your money back, there is no tax brake, you are paying more not less then you ever have. This might help you understand why the feds aren't too afraid to spend money because they know that the GAS prices/tax will go up.
Now look at the success of a right wing owned media who has us all convinced that we are at war with terrorists, a war we must win and that this new Republican government has actually given us a tax brake. They are telling us that the price of gas has risen because of an increased demand on oil while Chevez tells us there is plenty of oil and is willing to maintain their price at 50 a barrel, they fail to tell us that this war has slowed the flow of oil enabling higher prices and we are actually paying more tax then we ever have in the form of a GAS tax.
What about this war on terrorism - ask them: "What terrorist?" and who are they terrorizing and what they won't tell you is that since Desert Storm we have killed about 2 million and 1 hundred thousand Iraqis who were never a threat to America, and that's just a part of it. Can you now answer this question - What terrorist and who are they terrorizing? Maybe then you might demand our troops come home and no permanent bases in Iraq.

In war, torture happens, it always has - the historian only dare whisper it. But this is far worse, this is torture sanctioned by our own government? How outrageous is that?
But then, this is a war WE STARTED, isn't that outrageous?
I served my country for 14 years, but I wouldn't ask a soul to sacrifice 10 seconds for this (no longer America).
I wish that our fore fathers would return to haunt this White House as the blood of hundreds of thousands runs down her face.
"Has the Angel of Peace passed over us? ... We've been offered a long-term truce by al Qaeda so that Iraq and Afghanistan can be rebuilt."
No we haven't - these are just words without meaning said by powerful wealthy actors we call political leaders.
I don't believe the angel has passed over us, I think it is there waiting for us and has been there all along. But the angle of peace has no money to offer the Bush Administration, so, it is ignored.
Look at what is really happening in Iraq - look at everything and you will realize that we are not fighting a war over there. All we are doing is dodging bullets and trying to keep from running over bombs.
The more you look at it, the more you ask yourself, why are we there?
We call this a war against terrorists - what terrorists, where, and how are we fighting them?
I hear tell that the insurgents are just waiting for us to leave. They are mostly the ones shooting at us and laying bombs to blow us up, all they want us to do is leave, and they'll stop shooting at us and trying to blow us up after we go and there will be peace.
Now the terrorist on the other hand would just love for us to stay there, because they wouldn't have to shoot as far. They haven't yet developed bullets that reach the states. So us being in Iraq makes it easier for them to take us out, and that is there mission. The insurgents however don't really care, they just want us to go.
There are other reasons why the terrorists want us to stay, because while we are their, they are friends with the insurgents in taking us on. But when we leave, the insurgents will turn on them.
This occupation has outraged the Islamic world, so funding is available to anyone, terrorist or insurgent to remove us.
And lastly - for the terrorist, recruitment has never been better.
So - how do we find peace - we just go home. The sooner the better. If we go home, the terrorist loose, if we stay, they win.
Bin Laden is only offering peace knowing that we won't accept it, knowing that we will think we're winning and continue on.
Bush does not want to listen, because peace is not profitable.
The real terrorists here are war profiteers, and the solution would be to make it illegal to profit off of war - and POOF, we'll have peace.
I got all these email messages last night asking me to watch the presidents speech and make comments and whatever. I'm sorry, I couldn't do it.
Now the Progressive Democrats asked all Democrat Congressmen to walk out when Bush makes his speech, because he's a lier - I won't ask, it didn't happen.
The Republicans rule not because they are smarter or better leaders but because they're not afraid to make a fool of themselves, and that's obvious and unfortunately it works. The Democrats need to learn to do the same, or close to it anyways, because I certainly would not want them to be like Republicans. They need to reach down into their heart and feel what it is saying to them and just say what you feel, the hell with the consequences. The Republicans have won by spouting out all kinds of lies, and even the dumbest person in the world can see through the lies, but they just keep saying them until enough of the lies stick and no one is paying any attention to the truth. Well, the Democrats need to reach down into their hearts and throw that truth out there no matter how ugly it might be. And you know what, sometimes a Democrat will do that - and all the other Democrats will criticize him or her, so then they will apologize. You don't apologize for speaking the truth and you assholes who criticize your only friends need to ask yourself - WHY DIDN'T I SPEAK UP?
Anyways - I'm writing about the State of the Union Address I just couldn't watch. - listening to NPR news (because here in Oklahoma, behind the iron curtain, the reddest of the red states NPR is the closest thing you're going to get to the truth) they said Bush said we are to dependent on foreign oil - no joke, did he just figure that out. Of course not, but he wants us to believe that he now knows the problem and will fix it. Didn't I hear something like this before -I remember, I have to remember, because the news media isn't going to remind me. Because we don't want to tell these people we heard this before. Yes, I remember, it was 2002 and the promise of hydrogen. You might want to click on the link and read what Bush said and what Bush did, because the media isn't going to tell you this - I don't know why - I'm not a journalist, I didn't have to think very hard, look very far. Though I am forgetful, I did manage to remember. Do you get the feeling the media is protecting this guy, no, they wouldn't do that, not todays right wing liberal media, it can't be outfoxed. Well maybe because I'm behind the iron curtain, I'm left to figure this stuff out for myself. Its good for me, builds character, makes me American - please pass the apple pie.
Anyways - for the Democrats - this is real easy - here is some truth, let me just whisper it so no one hears me so I won't have to apologize later. "We are now more dependent on foreign oil then we ever have been in the history of America, so is Bush going to apologize because he didn't realize this sooner, or is he going to apologize for not FIXING IT IN FIVE YEARS."
Have you heard the rumor about the Democratic party not doing enough to educate the people about Alito. Well let me fill you in on a fact - the public media is owned by right wing conservatives who managed to convince the FCC that they don't have to provide equal time, just tell both sides. And they do this, they explain their side and then explain the left wing their way. If however you live in a blue state, the people have managed to break through and offer non slanted or left wing programing. If you live in a red state, you won't hear the whole story unless you have access to the Internet or satellite TV or radio - and then you have to know where to look.
So anyone, even Obama, want to give crap about the Democrats not educating the people, then please be kind enough to go to the FCC and demand equal time. Force TV and radio to provide non bias education rather than one sided propaganda for Washington - it personally makes me ill and such actions would improve my health and welfare. Seeing the American public hypnotized by a carefully planned media to intentionally sway public opinion is rather sickening, knowing that this is not what our fore fathers intended for America.
I got this email message yesterday from Tom Coburn, you know, that Senator from Oklahoma who backs up everything for the president and is very good at cross word puzzles. He's a conservative, Conservatives normally are good at cross word puzzles, and he's a Republican, and most Republicans back the president on everything.
Anyways, this email message was blank - I thought wow, that sure is odd. Maybe he got fixed and now he's shooting blanks, wait a minute, I know, he accidentally hit the send button instead of the spy button.
I'm not being very nice am I, who knows why I got a blank email message, they must be having trouble with their email program, it got infected and now its sending out blanks - happens all the time, right. If they would have installed a virus program instead of a spyware program, that may not have happened.

I voted Republican a few times, I even voted for Reagan once, I too am tainted by sin, may God have mercy on my soul.

All Republican politicians are invited to parties, and at these parties they have sex and all kinds of other things with kids and they tell these Republicans, "Look, you'll vote like we tell you too or we'll tell everybody that you have been at this party." Don't believe me, look what they did to Bill Clinton, they made sure the whole world knew about his affair, and it was with an adult. Just an idea. I was thrilled yesterday to wake to an email from Micah. The last correspondence I had from him was the email on Dec. 26. Then 2 guys in his battalion were killed and one wounded on the 27th (the wounded soldier has since passed away from his injuries). All communications were shut down until notification of their deaths by the Army to their families....but still no word from Micah. I knew that he would contact us as soon as he could...but that didn't make the waiting any easier.
He emailed yesterday to reassure me that he was "fine"....which of course I was glad to hear. Then he called me later in the day..... It was wonderful to hear his voice....be able to talk to him. I asked him about the incident that ended those 3 guys lives.....ages 26, 23, and 20. He said he hadn't planned on telling me about it, but then knew that I already knew about it...aware that I had received the email from the military explaining why we may not be hearing from our soldiers. I asked him if he knew what happened....he hesitantly told me....."Yes".....he was there when it happened! That....I wasn't prepared for. He wanted to spare me the details....but Micah and I can and do talk very frankly about everything.....I knew he needed to talk to someone about it....so I told him not to hold anything back. I told him I already know he is in harms way, I know there are horrible things going on there....things I can't even imagine.....but I wanted to know....and I wanted him to be able to talk about it with me.
He said it was their first mission since arriving in Baghdad. A group of them had to walk through a field to a "destination". He said just in front of him....about 100 yards was an explosion. Someone had stepped on a buried mine that exploded.....they were walking in a mine field! He said nothing was left....except an arm....a leg.....fingers..... They continued walking....then a second explosion.....the next two victims. They radioed for a helicopter that was not to come. So they were instructed to turn back and walk BACK thru the field......9 hours they walked......4 1/2 one way....4 1/2 back....nothing accomplished.....3 lives lost.
The tension and fear that your next step, placement of your foot would be you.....your friend at any moment..... This is our war.......... Why not take a high school class out on the edge of the expressway and have them run back and forth....who gets hit does...who's lucky enough not to....well is just lucky. It was horrifying knowing he witnessed it, knowing he was filled with fear and images that will stay with him forever.
I asked him about the Iraqis.....the Iraqi soldiers he was with. "Their crazy" was his reply. He said that morning a dog was running down the street and an Iraqi man beat it to death with a shovel then threw it on the side of the road. He said, "That's normal here."
I immediately knew when I started talking to him that he had a cold.....he said, "Yeah, I do, but I'm ok." I asked if he was eating good....what did they have for them to eat?....American food....Iraqi food? He said they get ONE meal a day. A "meal" that is either a 6 inch cold pizza, or well, he had 5 cold chicken wings one day, oh and a hotdog one day....well a lone hotdog....no bun. One meal a day!!! Prisoners in this country are required to receive 3 full meals a day in prison or it's infringing on their rights??!!!
He said they have 2 microwave ovens that are broken and a toaster oven that doesn't work well....the government is apparently spoiling them! Our sons and daughters are in the U.S. military.....fighting for our country.....have committed no crimes and this is what they feed them??? It's like the Twilight Zone or some parallel universe.....a bad dream that upon waking makes no real sense....He took his first shower yesterday.....his first since Dec. 20. That was good he said.
The Army is wondering why no one wants to join??? Why no one wants to go back???
Are the American people really that dense to think that we are doing the right thing.....doing good? The government wants to spin this into that they're protecting us from terrorists.....payback for 9/11. Osama Bin Ladin is no where near Iraq! So is anyone on his trail?
I know they're in harms way.....thousands of miles away from home and family but can they for God's sake treat them better than a prisoner....than an animal? You mistreat an animal in this country and all kinds of organizations are on your back.....you go to jail. Our government is mistreating our soldiers and we stand back and watch......well not really because we don't see THIS on the news. We only see what they want us to see.
Most of the guys that joined were promised to be able to go to college....on the government...and could start even while in the military. Micah was included in this group. He was met with....you don't have time for college you can go when you get out. But....our prisoners are receiving college degrees while serving their sentences!
Is it me or is it just backwards?? Micah is already skinny as a rail.....how do they expect a 20 yr old boy to live on what they are feeding them? Guess it doesn't matter much....why waste food on people you make walk thru mine fields? Doesn't this sound a little like the Holocaust? So.....Micah says....he's "ok". I'm sorry to vent but THIS HAS TO STOP!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!
Email, write, call your congressmen, state representatives....etc. Go to some of the websites I have listed below....read the stories of the people....one after another..... I will email the links again to find your state officials. EDUCATE YOURSELF!! I don't want to wait over the next year for a knock at my door....and I don't want one more mother, wife, family member to either. These Iraqi people apparently have no regard for life.....theirs, their women and children, ours, even animals. WHY ARE WE THERE??
And I voted for Bush.....TWICE! You don't see the Bush twins in Iraq.....no manicures or shopping sprees. Don't want to ruin your day.....just want to get you thinking.....and MAD!!!

As Commander-in-Chief who has also taken the oath himself to serve in the National Guard, surely he realizes that everyone who volunteers to serve they're country takes an oath to protect that "just a goddamned piece of paper!" form ALL enemies foreign and DOMESTIC even with their lives.
That enemy is domestic, that enemy is our president and I've taken that oath six times. Four times Active Duty, once Reserves and the other National Guard, I don't take this lightly, and while I'm no longer under that oath, I'm still taking it seriously - I'm demanding an apology and I ask that you join me, and surely if you are a veteran you will, but if you only pay taxes you might, because this is your country, as a U.S. citizen, you're the boss, not Mr. Bush, it's time somebody tells him so.

I have a bumper sticker on my car that reads, "Support The Troops, Impeach Bush." A week ago, people would have laughed at me, but because of all the noise Cindy Sheehan is making, nobody's laughing.
Some people are getting concerned and are attacking on two fronts:
1) Cindy Sheehan is a Democrat who didn't vote for GW. You got me there; because you're absolutely right, she is a Democrat and she even admits that she didn't vote for GW. But you know what else, Cindy Sheehan is also a mother and her son died in Iraq.
One might wonder, why Cindy? This reminds of the song where the devil comes and tempts me but I'm gonna be president because my momma loves me. I find that her son was extremely patriotic who was active in the church and did pretty good in school. He volunteered for a second tour of duty and died as a casualty of war. A good young man who's life was stolen by a lie. It pisses me off and makes me angry and want to throw rocks, and I'm not even related. It wasn't like he joined the military because he needed discipline like I did. He had the discipline and he loved his country and he had a mother who loved him very much, and maybe he could have been President? The fact that she is a Democrat makes Democrats look pretty good, unlike the immoral people who don't go to church according to the media polls and the fact that she didn't vote for GW just proves that she had good judgment, seeing that we now know that GW lied - what can I say.
2) Don't impeach the President. I found two articles, and these articles are proof that we're getting close and people are getting concerned. They were very good articles, admitting that Bush lied and that we shouldn't have gone to Iraq. I do appreciate that they didn't try telling me that I was wrong for calling Bush a liar and that we were doing this because of 9/11 - because that kinda stuff is just pissing me off. They were very good articles written by people who realized that a crime had been committed but respected the office of the President. I do remember this world when Nixon was impeached, it was not a pretty world, and I can sympathize. But is this pretty now?
a) This is a democratic republic, our government officials are elected, and the only way that this system works is that we respect our elected officials because we put them there. Some, me included, are not so sure that Mr. Bush was honestly elected into the office of President, but that's not the worse problem, the worse problem is that the American people just don't like GW. Most of us knew that we were being lied to, but believed that things would work out for the best anyways. Things having gone sour, we're now admitting that we've been lied to and we're getting pissed. The fact that the American people are not behind their President only gives terrorist and a whole slew of other criminals and bad guys ammunition to do evil, believing they are justified because we don't like our President. There will be many failures in all of our endeavors if we have no confidence in our President. I'm telling you - every day that Mr. Bush stays in office, things will continue to get worse - simply because we don't like our President. If there isn't a law that the President should go just because the people don't like him, then there should be. Because if that's the only reason to get rid of him, that in itself is a pretty good reason. Remember, he has over three more years to go. If he's going to continue to be President for that much longer, the thought of that scares me. I'm sure that by then the whole system of government will collapse before that happens - I predict that Mr. Bush will not complete his Presidency - unless, by some miracle he admits to his misdeed and works to turn this nation around from its erroneous direction. But that's not going to happen. So a Bush impeachment will happen.
b) This is a nation governed by a system of the people by the people. It's really something to be proud of and worthy of dieing for. It should be an honor to serve your country and we should honor those who do. While some might say this is no longer true, I say why? Our fore-fathers didn't just wake up one morning and say, "today is a good day to have a system by the people for the people, make it so" and was so, and it was good. Na-don't think so; people fought and died to create this system and I'm telling you now, if you want to keep this system, you're going to have to fight for it, and only when you are willing to do this can you call yourself an American. If you can admit that Bush lied and that we shouldn't have gone to Iraq then you must confess that a crime has been committed, and if this is a government by the people, we need to take action if we want this to continue to be our government; otherwise we will be ruled by crooks and thieves and any and all injustices our government does is on our hands. And I can say a whole lot more about this, but I don't think I have to. The office of the President of United States is not above the law and if we treat it as if it was, then always it will be, and this will no longer be a government of the people, but rather a government of the President, a dictator voted into office - don't think so and you shouldn't either.

Today is the 60th Anniversary of the Hiroshima bomb, and I am angry, I am very angry. And I will say what I have to say, and I don't care who I offend and I certainly won't apologize.
I joined into a peace walk today to bring attention to Uranium Weapons on this day. This was not an impeach Bush protest or a get rid of Rove thing, though you could link those two into this one. This was not even an end the war kinda thing. We were told not to carry any signs that named names or used names, and one person was even wearing a tee shirt that read Okies never give up or something like that. I first thought he was pro-military, but when I heard him speak, I realized he was a scientist who just wanted to make people aware of the dangers of Uranium Weapons. There were speeches and we marched around the bombed federal building in Oklahoma City and we even had a police escort. Channel 4 news covered it, afterwards we watched a movie.
Impressively, five churches were involved in this, the Mennonites, A Congregational Church, The Unitarians, an Episcopal Church and United Church of Christ Open Arms. I'm disgusted, ashamed and outraged that we have done this. And even our own people, our soldiers are sick and their children are being born deformed, a common defect is a missing hand and I hope that's all, but I fear as these children grow up we will learn more, and government takes no responsibility for the care and well being of these children. And while it only involves just a small percentage of U.S. children, the same cannot be said for Iraqi children.

I’m a U.S. citizen, tax payer with active service to my country under my belt, this is my government that works for me, and I demand justice and fairness. I’m not a lawyer, but just a man with enough common sense to know the difference between justice and injustice, fairness and unfairness. Should a man who has lied to Congress be president of the United States, if that lie is responsible for thousands of deaths? No, of course not. So, this man should be impeached, right. I have been ignored and already some laugh at me, but can they express logic, or do they have none?
Some believe that impeaching Bush is impossible and can’t or won’t happen, to them I quote, Jesus “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.” For those who may not believe in Jesus, I feel sorry for you.
I say, “Impeach Bush,” because it is the just and fair thing in the name of all those who have died for a lie and I believe it will happen.
Abortion – I don’t believe abortion should be used as a birth control method. If it is or if it ever has been, this is wrong, and this should be stopped. Not however to the point were a child is forced to be a mother against her wishes. Likewise, a young lady should not be forced to have an abortion. A woman has a right to decide whether or not she will be a mother in cases of rape, trickery or faulty birth control methods, while these things cannot always be proven, I believe we can trust her word on this without investigation.
Pregnancy should never be a punishment for having sex. In a more perfect world, all pregnancies are planned and all children are welcome, to make this a more perfect world, abortion should not be illegal. But greater efforts should be taken to ensure abortion does not become birth control. I think we can all agree on this.
What kind of world would we live in if Adam said, "I'm sorry Lord, I have taken of the forbidden fruit of knowledge and have learned shame."
What kind of world would we live in if Eve said, "I'm sorry Lord, Adam asked me to partake of the fruit, I should have said no, but I wanted to be like him and now am ashamed."

A liberal believes that if a man commits a crime, he is not guilty, but the victim is at fault who caused the man to be guilty.

Equally - A conservative believes that a man commits a crime only when he does not see things as the conservative. We are innocent or guilty according to not our acts, but our beliefs.
I am not a conservative.
I am a realist. A criminal is a criminal and a victim is a victim, according to what they have done and what has been done to them.
The realist are mostly Mr. Nader and the Green Party. A lot of them can be found in the Democratic Party, and a few like John Mccain can be found in the Republican party.
Right now the conservatives have beaton the liberals, and that's ok, but now the conservatives control our country. It should have always been run by the realists. But I think the scriptures are true when it calls us all sinners. There is something wrong with us. The realists will never rule anything. However - when the conservatives and the liberals battle eachother, what develops is real decisions that have made out nation great. The best thing I can do now is to join the liberals and fight for their cause so that they may gain their equal share of power so that our nation can become great again. That's what I'm doing if anyone should be wondering.
I pray for all those in Florida. I don't know them, but I could have been one of them. Imagine, they must think the world come to an end. May they find rest.
