First a bit of personal life, this evening I saw "Ghosts of Mississippi" and that was a pretty amazing movie and of course a breathtaking (true) story. I'm not bragging but in Norway we have not had that problem (well there might have been some cases but I have not heard of any) I must sadly admit that I have no "colored" friends. I came in contact with a nice guy from another valley, but shortly after he moved to Spain or Cuba or something. I don't wanna hurt any one but where I come from the only foreigners are some Germans and Polish. Therefore I do not have to much of a multicultural experience. The only "experience" I've got is from american television, and that ain't good. and that have kind of "scared" me a bit because I know how Afro-American people where treated. And I'm afraid of even saying anything about them , in fear of hurting people.
In the movie Byron De La Beckwith say that the Holy Bible says that colored people aren't people. And I know of common sense that that is false.
Another thing that wonders me is that white people aren't the minority. The world consists of (about) 30% white people, and 70% non-white people.
The second part, the Noteboard. On my noteboard there is lots and lots of Bible verses. These are som of the once I like the most, and witch I have found comfort in:
Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Luke 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
Luke 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
46:2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom
Exodus 15:2 The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.
Proverbs 12:25 Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
These are just some of the verses, but it's getting late here the clock is 1:07 AM. I might get back to this later.
It's always a pleasure
