Olgita`s modest notes

Place that I miss so much...

, , ,

... I also asked Selim - my husband to take some photos of the sea when he was in Samandag. Samandag is a city on the Mediterranean sea shore, just 20 km far from Antakya... We used to have family picnic there every weekend...

My hubby is back from Turkey!Bollywood

o o Shame on me!!!!!! Of course I know this place! Awwww! My English!!!!!!!! doh

My husband`s family is from Antakya (Turkey). This is a place where a lot of Bible events happened! This is very very old place...

His grandmother was Orthodox but when she got married to Muslim she had to change religion.

My father-in-law name is Savaya... This is not Turkish name and we still try to find the roots of this name. He is THE ONLY Savaya in all Turkey!smile

KarenNerak Friday, December 12, 2008 6:30:22 AM

Wow! The only one! That's really cool. smile

None of my family is or has ever has been Jewish...I assume that's what you meant by saying Orthodox. My family is on the Christian side of things...not that it even matters. The fact that there are holy wars is so upsetting to me. Everyone needs to learn to get along. sad

OlgaOlgita Friday, December 12, 2008 6:49:30 AM

I meant not Jewish but O rthodoxChristian smile And I am Orthodox Christian but mybby is Muslim!smile There is no war between us!wink Just friendship and love!wink party
