Ohhh... Today I have found something special in our market... I know that they bring a lot of fruits from Turkey to Russia. Some of them are good... but some are not so good... I can say that these grapefruits are 100% good. WHY? Because they are from Antakya!!! Yes! From our city!!! I was so surprised when I saw the name "Yasin" - Antakya on the box! I wish you could smell and taste it! Grapfruits from Antakya!!! What could be better for a good start of the weekend!

I am so happy now... and still miss our home in Turkey...

Кто бы мог подумать! Утренний поход в магазин за продуктами поднял мне настроение! Ни для кого не секрет, что многие фрукты в Россию привозят из Турции. Бывают фрукты хорошие и не очень!

Посмотрите на эти грейпфрукты! Запах и вкус говорит сам за себя! На коробке с ними я обнаружила надпись - АНТАКИЯ и фирму, которая выращивает грейпфруткы в нашем родном турецком городе! Я чуть не стала обнимать эти сочные плоды на глазах у всех покупателей!

Любимая Антакия добралась до Москвы в виде кисло-сладких плодов!

Ой, радость то какая!!!!

Странно звучит? Но я так скучаю по тем краям, что даже такая мелочь меня приятно радует!

If you leave them at home for some days they will turn reddish color.

Looks great :-) I use to have some apples in my home. But after 4 weeks (or more) they turn brown and suddenly have the same amount of beard as me... Strange how different fruits behave... Anyway, I will go and ask for some grapefruits next time I'm in Antakya

Actually I didn`t like grapefruit too... BUT... something happened to me and now I cannot live without them!

Well, a good question about those apples Olga... I promise to eat more fruit. And I also agree with you about the grapefruit. After visiting the Middle East, I realised that grapefruits coming from that area, and the mostly old, sour and dry ones you get in many shops in northern Europe, well, the difference is like night and day. So, happy graping

It's odd how our tastebuds change like that. I've not tried a grapefruit in a very long time. Maybe I'll try again!
