Meet Savaya Junior!

As you know we came home on Friday! Today my baby is 1 week! :smile: He is such a good boy! Days passing so fast... all we do is eating, poo and sleeping! Sometimes he wants to communicate with parents and be held on hands! :happy:
It is such a great feeling to be mother and take care of him... It is a bit hard first times but I will do my best!!!
As all of you are waiting I uploaded some pictures! Enjoy! Meet Savaya! :happy: My Sunny boy!!! :happy:
Why Savaya? This is the name of my father-in-law. he is a very good man and this is the only name in Turkey! So we want this name to live further! Now Im just trying to find the history of this name...


Вот мы и вернулись домой с сынулькой! Сегодня нам уже одна неделька! Мы растем каждую минуту! Дни летят и похожи друг на друга - поели, покакали, поспали... Иногда малыш хочет пообщаться и погугукать на ручках у родителей!
Конечно же, это потрясающее чувство - быть мамой и заботиться о малыше. Первое время трудно, но мы справимся!!! :smile:
Так как все безумно хотят увидеть это чудо, я выбрала несколько фоток! Так что, знакомьтесь! Савая! :smile:
Почему Савая? Так зовут моего свекра и это единственное имя в Турции. Мы хотим, чтобы это имя жило и дальше! Вот! Тем более свекр у меня - золото! Сейчас я пытаюсь найти происхождение имени...

He is so precious. It makes me want to sit in a rocking chair with him lying against my chest with my check softly on his tiny head. I can feel the warmth and love.:heart:

That tall hat is so funny but we put it only for pictures...as it is not comfy for his little head yet! :smile:

He is not too big but ultrasound doctors were saying that he was going to be a big boy... actually he is not :smile:

Olga, there is similar Serbian name, Sava. Both girls and boys can be named. It is universal name. :smile: Also, there is the river Sava in Serbia. Maybe the root of that name is somewhere here... :smile:

I thought about that because Turks had ruled in this parts in the past, so, since it is the only name in Turkey, I thought about the root of the name maybe was here...

The name is common also in Greece. However it is a religious name in the Orthodox church.
I strongly believe that
Savaya Sr. and now Savaya Jr. were named after another meaning and
a root of the name rests somewhere else.

Savaya Sr. has no connection to the Orthodox faith :D

But

even if we do not know ,
I find the name adorable!

SO far I got 2 variants:

1.an Italian Name raised in Rome in the middle centuries
2.Christian catholic Assyrian, Chaldean Last name

That was said by people whose surname is Savaya! :smile:

I was looking the other day on line and I saw that there is a very famous surgeon in Turkey with the name Savaya too.. And it is clear that it IS his first name.
From my personal experience after being raised in the border with Turkey, I can say that there is not a chance under the sun,
that the name came from a Christian root.
I am sure you know exactly what I mean .... :heart:

I know one day your boy will give a meaning to his own name and it will be a great one! :heart:

Just found your post Olgita. Congratulations on that beautiful, healthy little boy. I know you and your husband are both very proud of him. And I love the name. And also very happy that the birth was OK and you are well.

Looking forward to pictures of the little one as he develops. Hopefully he will grow up with many irelatives being a part of his life here on OC.
