Claws, fangs, fur...

...the bear essentials

Hello, Imbrium!

, , ,

My lovely wife gave birth to our sunshine, Imbrium. Named after the Mare Imbrium, one of the seas on our moon, and after a character in the Xanth novels by Piers Anthony (bonus points for those who guess which one!), our daughter came into this world on August 25, 2009, at 3:10PM, bearing 3kg (6lbs 13oz) in a mere 50cm (19.6inch), her looks combining the pretty of her mother with my height.

Our dogs are miserable from longing for their mommy. Thus far she's recovering well, and we expect her back home upcoming Saturday.

We're home! Mrs. OmegaJunior and our daughter arrived Saturday afternoon. We haven't had much rest, as expected. We sleep when Imbri sleeps. I'm happy to have plenty of holiday left. My country gives fathers only 2 days leave. Half a year would be much preferred.

And go check out Imbri's own web site!. It's in Dutch and English, depending on your browser's language preferences.
