The Second Act

And most likely the final one

Silence is bliss

Except when it comes to my blog.

So sorry. My first month at Opera has been spent in Oslo, San Francisco and in countless meetings with old partners, customers and colleagues getting back into the swing. Also, preparing for the Opera 9 release and maximizing exposure in the US market. All adds up to very little disposable blogging time.

I hope to start the blog up in a semi-regular kind of way real soon.

Cheers.

Back in BlackGO USA!!

Many low-level users that I know in US don't know anything except IE, AOL or Verizon (yes, they call customized IE "Verizon") smile
Most of them using AOL or Verizon e-mails and just stick to integrated panels with buttons to read news and e-mails...
So, some kind of easy access panels for those users can probably help...

Good comment and very sad but true. So many users out there are missing out on a better, more rich Internet experience.

When you say easy access panels do you mean pre-configured simple "start" panels that are configurable with basic links and content? I guess my first thought would be how we would reach out to this segment of the market?

I think good Opera widgets (or panels) can help there to simulate and improve those major US browsers' toolbars and panels.
Those widgets should contain buttons to Shopping, Movie, Travel, News, Games, etc...
So, there should be Verizon widget, AOL widget, Comcast widget, etc...
