Email Attacks (Election day release)

On or soon after election day, another wave of attacks were released into the mail systems that tries to get you to open links (again) that leads to trojans and etc. Beware of emails that contains words like "Breaking News". I had one today that had a subject line "McCane inside Secret". For the most part, the subjects are rediculous. If it sounds too interesting, throw it away and go to CNN.com or one of the big news sites and it will be listed there if in fact it is true.

The good thing is that the drone bot network designers feel that they have to create too crazy to be true headlines to get you to click. Use that as a indication.... "hmmm... this does not look right". Be safe and run your anti-virus software often. People are real creative in today's time and age.

Another part to this is the Obama-Themed malware. [From source]: One piece of spam alleges to contain a link to video of Obama's acceptance speech. If you follow the video link within the e-mail message you will be taken to a Web page where you'll be asked to update your Adobe Flash Player with a file, adobe_flash9.exe, first. This is not an official Adobe update file and downloading this file may in turn infect your computer with a Trojan.
