Free Browser, Less Quality?

, , , , , , , , , , ,

Is it me or is it when a browser company (like Netscape) goes Free and Public the product starts getting worse? Does anyone have to care about a free product's quality? No. This is why Opera's premium support is very good, although apologist on the previous issue. Not to mention the Mozilla Cult like risk, where the brand is worshipped and used no matter how much it stinks. Stock Market = less compatition and games of the term known as chance or as I refer to it dependency on probability, aka Gambling. Stock Price also ends up mattering more than sales with Opera now as well; since there are no Opera Sales anymore.

The stock price is reliant on sales, and Opera still sells browsers. But there's money to be made on the desktop too. Just ask Mozilla, who apparently made more than $70K last year from desktop searches alone.

Unclaimed, according to Google Watch.
Funny enough.
I am not saying Opera sucks, but it can get as bad as the Mozilla Project or Firefox one day,
and man is it a slug now. Yow. Opera is still number one, Firefox number two, Netscape
#1 in a golden shower sense, and IE well lets just say, shit faced.

Oh and stock prices are based on the distribution or movement of your product not profit, and they sometimes sell minis with a french distributor, and Premium Service, but really not a browser.
Productivity, and not profit. Not even quality of the product, as long as there is a following to daft to look beyond brand, that helps Firefox but I am not sure Opera yet has a following that slow.
I am always looking for a oneupmanship at somepoint.
