...oh well, i'll tell you the story of the "local horse" The Moldovan horse, the race, has been created during the first rulers of the medieval Moldovan state (around 1300). This horse can be used today in the fanciest horse races. Officially, the race has the name of "huţul, or huţan, or moldovan", it was and is mainly grown in the north of west Moldova, close to Rădăuţi town. It is a slim, fast and tough horse. It is at the same quality level as the English pure-blood, or the arab pure-blood are. It has to be mentioned that the English pure-blood has been created mainly starting from Arab and Moldovan horses Moldova, with the back protected by the Carpathians, has been the wall on which blew one thousand years of invasions from east - from central Asia mainly ! All the invaders were "on horse", all sort of horses. So Moldovans have chosen, selected and created their race, the best in Europe till the 19 th century when English have created their own horse race. West European typical horse is big, strong, good for traction (for pulling) but slow. The Moldovan and Arab are slim, smaller, but have much strength and power. The occidental horses are like their apples and tomatoes: look very good but...have no taste Horses in the photo look good, are much like the Moldovan horses, but i can't say if they have some "noble" blood
