About me

I was born in Indiana 63 yrs ago in the month of June and came to the Southwest as a toddler w/ my family. I'm retired from the 'real world'; an artist; a mother of three grown children; a dog owner (a very obstinate 12 yr old Min Pin).

After moving 1800 miles from Phoenix to Fargo, ND last September of 2010, I now spend much of my time babysitting instead of painting. That's fine by me as my little granddaughter is a hoot, makes me laugh or smile every day. I will get back to the painting later.

I had to leave many of my projects back in Phoenix so I no longer make things from found objects. I will still be puttering around in a garden, that is, when it's not 20 below zero. That seems to be three to four months out of the year here in my new state. Another thing I won't be doing is minor home repair and remodeling projects. I'll leave that to the homeowners, my daughter and son-in-law.

My work

When I'm doing art, I paint in oils, acrylics or mixed media. I draw with graphite, charcoal and oil stick. I recycle old art work by cutting or tearing up to make collages; I've also done some printmaking and ceramics but no longer do those as I don't have the tools to do them.
