Just now my wife sat here talking about Vangelis, and how we really should buy an analog record player so she would be able to hear the old vinyls with this music.
And that was where I opened your post and was able to play Vangelis for her

My dear friend, if you like this wonderful music, please buy or rent the film 1492...yes, that is the title "1492"....is about Cristopher Colombus...a very very nice film. You are going to hear this music there.
Have you seen THE MISION ? If no, please see it too. You are going to enjoy the film and the music too much.
Greetings my dear and pretty friend...ROCIO.

Surprisingly, I have not seen the movie 1492 as I like the actor in it, Gerard Depardieu. Have not seen The Mission either. I must go back to this bookstore because they sell used movie DVDs too.
Two years ago I bought Mythodea by Vangelis. I never heard it but I knew it would be good. It was astounding. He wrote the music in conjunction with the NASA Mars Exploration Program: 2001 Mars Odyssey.

Vangelis is one of my favorite too. I love your post.
Hugs for you my friend....ROCIO.

My dear friend Pamela, I am very sorry because I say to you wrong things. The music from THE MISSION is not of Vangelis, it is music of Ennio Morricone... but it is fantastic too. Please, look at this small video, the film is beautiful, it is about the great mission of the priests with the indians of South America...look this, listen to the music, and if you have a change, rent the film, or buy it...

Vangelis also did the music for The Last of the Mohicans, another favorite film of mine. Daniel Day-Lewis is in this and I have a picture of him in 'My favorite actors' photo album.

BTW, a study by John Hopkins University has shown that New Age music can cause brain aneurisms in laboratory rats.
I always feel sorry for those laboratory rats...
(All bullshit aside, I liked the space photos -- you know me. Thanks for posting!

I hope so.
It does look like the birth of a new universe. All the images in the video, I believe, were from the NASA web site. Whoever made the video did a wonderful job of combining the pictures and the music.

Norfrid, you are welcome. I discovered Vangelis quite by accident. Was in a bookstore and they were playing the music over the speakers. Of course, they sold the music too.

ed, it happens to all of us. Although I have never lost my startlingly handsome and still very boyish good looks, my former tresses have turned from chestnut color to dark blond and the moustache I once had - see link at http://my.opera.com/lokutus_prime/blog/show.dml/1774876 has evaporated and now the firm upper lip that marks me out (see boyish good looks etc) is revealed.
Thus, temporal winds do blow, and even the likes of Yiannis Hrysomallis / Giannis Chrysomallis, must bend before the breeze of change

I hope Ed's hospital stay is a short one.
