For pagans and neo-pagans, have a happy Samhain. It's time to honour our ancestors and remember our loved ones that are gone.

Blessed be ye all! :wizard:

Hehehe, thanks Squeakey... but ppl in Central America don't celebrate thanksgiving :o: because these lands were not colonized by english but by spanish. They came here on october, 12. The spanish settled were mixed with native ppl with the passing of times. So we are not spanish and neither native... conclusion: Nothing to celebrate :ko: (And nope, we neither have the same celebrations with Mexico (hey wait :eyes: :left: I guess we have not many celebrations! :frown:  )

Even so, I know Thanksgiving is a very important American tradition, so I hope you have a very good time with your family on that day

... And Happy Thanksgiving for all America

wonder what christmas will bring this year

do you celebrate Cinco DeMaio? (or however its spelled..sry, not good at spelling things not english)

LOL

Nope, we don't celebrate Cinco de Mayo... That's a mexican party and I don't even know what they celebrate on that day... :o:

Celebrations we have are these:

- New Year
- Valentine's day
- Easter
- Labor's day (May 1st)
- Mother's day (celebrated it on may 10)
- Father's day (celebrated on june 17)
- Fiestas patronales del Salvador del Mundo ("Holiday of Jesuschrist, Divine Savior of the World" or "Jesuschrist, Saint patron of El Salvador". It's a catholic holiday and it's on aug. 6th, 7th and 8th)
- Independence day (sept. 15)
- Día de la raza (oct. 12: The day spanish caravels came to America leaded by Cristobal Colon) :left:
- Halloween
- All Saints
- Christmas

No Martin Luther's day, no Cinco de Mayo, no Thanksgiving, no St. Patrick's day, no April fool's day, no Veteran's day, no President's day, and the list goes on and on and on... :faint:

Only a clarification to ppl who can feel a little confused about Mexico and other latin countries:

Of course, almost all countries from Mexico and going down the map were colonized by spanish but:

Mexicans are descendats of the Aztecs, and even when the main part of they are mixed, they're very proud of their native heritage (viva México cabr...!:headbang: ) :D :D

Central american zone was inhabited by another races (Mayans, pipiles, etc.) being now Guatemala the main place of remanents of Mayan ppl, in all another countries mayans and pipiles are going dissapearing with passing of time. (In fact, in El Salvador there's only registered a doubtful 5% of Mayans awww

it's told Mayan civilization was already in decadence and that later apeared the pipiles in these lands, whom shared familiar roots with Aztecs, and that's why even when mexicans and central americans are not the same thing we looks very similar P:

Another places where inhabited by another races, this is the case of Peru, wich was inhabited by Incas... but I don't know too much about they. Some groups still exist but I guess it's the same way than Mayans here.
...

Well I'm thinking I should have posted this history lesson as a new blog post P: hehehe... it's about 6 pm, I must go home now.

Good evening to everyone, and see you later!

Stay dark! \m/
