Top 12 of my favorite sites

, ,

It was supposed I publish this on dec. 30 but I forgot to change access from private to public... :faint: :o: :D But I hope you still like it and want to read it:

As I have seen it's an "end of year" trend to make reviews and top ranking of the best stuff of the year, I don't want to stay behind with that :D
I decided to make my own top ranking of sites which have seem good to me... You can comment what are your favorite sites if you want, or tell if you are agree or not.

12. Wikipedia

What should I do if this won't exist? It has lots of information about many stuff. You can learn general matters about any topic in just some minutes with wikipedia. I love it!

11. Box
With 1 Gb of free storage and apps like zoho, linked in, mindmeister and some other good stuff, it is a nice place to store your files and share with your classmates or your collaborators in your workplace.
The only "negative" part is that if you want (and you will) more space, you have to buy it...
... yep, it is fair, the service is really nice!

10. Mixx
Thanks to Mixx now I know the pleasure of sharing and voting news.
This place works in similar way than Digg, you suscribe something and users vote for their favorites. But I have to remark that Mixx has a clear n' nice interface, has smaller and better looking buttons to vote for or against, and has a bookmarklet for the browser what makes easier to submit stuff to the site. Also categories have a better organization, and for any reason I have found in Mixx lots of better stories and news than in Digg.

09. Imeem
... Now it has an easier to use interface, a nice dashboard, buttons for you to share your videos and music in social sites. So I started to upload some more music and create playlists...
Now I think is one of the best services for my music and videos, the music is easy to upload, organize, find, play and share, and tracks and videos are full available for you to listen and see without any restriction, not beign the same with some other places (i.e. last or ilike, when many tracks are incomplete). Very good, Imeem!

08. Yahoo bookmarks
The best bookmark service ever...

07. Remember the milk
Aw, I love my little cow ^_^
Remember the Milk is just the best task manager service I ever seen.
It is easy to use, multilingual, has tags, tasks can be managed from a netvibes widget, or synchronize your account with a mobile. Also there is an igoogle and an gmail widget (gadget...) and even if you go offline there's an app for google gears.
Remember the Milk also can send you emails reminding the daily tasks, the tasks can be programmed for being repeated periodically... and, well, it has many many more features you'd really like.
That's why I say this is the best task manager I ever seen

06. Mediafire
Unlimited space and uploads up to 100 Mb with a free account, and all features of any file manager or on-line storage service. Great!
What I really thank is that when you make a download from MediaFire you're not asked to type a disgusting chapta, and simultaneous downloads are permited (without making tricks with you IP)
Unconveniences: If you want to upload files larger than 100 Mb you have to make'em small parts with WinRAR and upload them, or buy Pro service (... but Pro is really nice because permites you to get statistics of the downloads, and you can upload really BIG files).

05. FriendFeed
Is there something better than track all your stuff and keep updated of what your friends do and moreover comment and "like" your friends updates?
The answer is Nothing!

04. Twitter
Let's admit it, all we want to tell things to people and know what people have to say, so it is addictive!

*Notice: :eyes: :ko: I had an inner fight between "friendfeed 5th, twitter 4th" and "friendfeed 4th, twitter 5th":faint:

03. Netvibes
This services has been improved each time more and has lots of widgets and nice styles to show your content.
If there's something to suggest is that it would be cool if it was possible to apply a different theme (design) in each tab

02. Facebook
The vice...

01. My Opera Community
There are many reasons for loving this place: Here I have my main blog and I have 1 Gb to store pictures and use them in my posts and to embed in other places.

Blog interface is easy to use, has a nice design, cool smileys, RTF editor, allows html, and has not advertisements. My blog posts can be tagged, and I decide if they're public, friend available or private. Post also can be shared in my facebook and some other sites with the already included buttons. Moreover, if a service is not there for sharing, I can add any extra button to share my posts.

Photo albums in my Opera has a nice organization and I can send my pictures as e-cards, and as with the blog posts, I can set privacy level of each album.

In My Opera I can save bookmarks and notes directly from the browser with synch feature. I save a bookmark in my Opera browser and then it is available from My Opera community if I use another PC, just logging in.

I aslo have to say that I have found many interesting blogs in My Opera community, and have found really cool people, as much in the blogs as in the forums, and since I started to use Opera and suscribed to this community I have learned many usefull stuff. That's why I choose My Opera community as my favorite place

And that was my top 12 list of the places I really like

See you in the other side!!!
