Welcome

Hi there and welcome to my Blog,

You probably wont find it very interesting but its a way for me to jot down what I think of things and I'll be able to look back and remember the good and bad times.

I had a breakdown a couple of years ago and have still not fully recovered, so a lot of this blog will probably contain moans and groans about how I'm feeling and if you're interested in this kinda thing, you'll also be able to follow my journey as I slowly make progress with my panic attacks, social and agoraphobia along with other aspects of the anxiety issues that I've been left with since the breakdown.

The rest of the blog ?? Well hell its gotta be a party after hearing about how down I am hasn't it ?? lol

Thanks for dropping by

The Meeting

Ok well I had my meeting with Peter and to be perfectly honest I feel a LOT better.

We met at the café as usual and chatted for over an hour – we discussed how low I’d been over the last few months and he helped me understand what happened with the breakdown of communication between me and the CMHT/CBT group.

I still don’t think that I’m back “on their books” I know that Peter will be putting my case forward for review and I know that he’ll do all he can to put my side across … all in all I’m feeling much more confident now that something will be sorted our for me soon.

I know that if I can get back to something similar to the support that I got from Peter in the past, that I’ll be able to make great strides in my recovery. Even if it isn’t with Peter, although I would much prefer it if it was (and he knows this), I know that as long as some sort of structured support is made available to me, I’ll do well.

To be honest, the whole meeting hasn’t really sunk in yet so I’m not sure what else to say, so I’ll sleep on it and talk further when I’ve got everything straight in my head.

Thanks for reading (if anyone is) bigsmile

5 hours to go ...

Well, in about 5 hours or so, I'll finally be meeting my counsellor for the first time in around 8 months. I'm feeling really nervous about it, which is natural I suppose, after all it has been ages since we last saw each other. I just hope that a re-referral is possible, IMHO I shouldn't have been taken off the list anyway but this is something I'll talk to him about this afternoon ... although I have to say, if a referral back to him isn't possible and I'm left with no professional support, I really don’t know what I'll do. I desperately want to get better but I know that currently I'm not in a position to do it alone.

Anyway, other than that, not much else going on today ... I might post up some more games I like (btw, no one has challenged me to Yatzy yet ... scared huh ?) *chuckles*

I'll let you know how things went with my counsellor either this afternoon or tomorrow morning, depending on how I feel smile

Seeya !!

David Hasselhoff Rules !!!

Right well our server has been down now for about 4 hours ... which is a TOTAL nightmare so i called the provider and he was really helpful, informing me that "he doesn't know what is wrong and he wont lie to me, it could be 5 more minutes before we're back up .... or it could be an hour".

Well that was 2 hours ago and we're still offline, so after a long conversation with my business partner, in which we discussed the various ways we could hang, draw and quarter the current providers, we finally decided to abandon ship and find a new provider.

The new provider looks AMAZING and they are THE world leader in dedicated servers which is nice wink So it looks like, when we switch at the end of the month, we'll be setup in our new home for good (at last)

I'll keep you up to date as we go along, thanks for reading smile

Widget your favourite ... ?

Hi again, just dropped by after taking another look around the fantastic widgets available to download here at the Opera site.

For those of you who dont know what a widget is ... man are you missing out !! There are a plethora of widgets you can try, ranging from the useful to the totally bizarre and I'd like to show you my top two smile

This is the PlanetWerx widget by GreyWyvern, although it serves no real purpose, it is truely a work of art. It displays our solar system and amimates the orbits of the planets. I have it running almost all the time as I find that it can be used as a fantastic alternative, animated desktop ... give it a go, you wont be sorry. See if you can find the hidden planet !! There is a hint on how to find it on the widget's download page, hidden somewhere in the comments.

The PlanetWerx Widget can be downloaded here

Here is the SimAquarium widget by Grafio. This is another beautifully made widget that lets you act as a fish breeder. You start with 100 credits and earn more credits the longer the widget is running. With your credits you can purchase more fish, extra scenary and lighting. What you buy can actually affect how fast/slow the fish breed. Its actually VERY addictive and I'll warn you now, if you own your own "real" fish then PLEASE dont forget to look after them because once you start breeding these little guys, you'll find it hard to drag yourself away bigsmile

So there you go, at the moment they're my top two widgets - I'd love to hear what your favourite widgets are so, please feel free to comment below.
