.....turn her into the wind boys!

Heading Home....

Decompression is coming along nicely, good food, good friends and the sea air have rejuvinated me to the point that I now must think of returning home to base camp for the holidays. Looking forward to seeing all that I've missed so much for the last three and half months and I haven't been to my home on Caddo Lake since May. This is my hide-away, the place I bought soon after I lost my wife and daugther. It's therapy for me, a place to help let go and a place to help remember. It also serves as a place to retreat for friends to get away from the public eye. I'm grateful to my neighbors for protecting the privacy and watching over "Swamp Thang" my English Bulldog named Shemedley who can't always go on the road because of travel restrictions (and he hates to fly because they won't put ice in his scotch) so he stays behind to be the palace guard. Next year brings interesting challenges for me, as I am taking on projects that could stretch my music abilities in a different direction and working with people I've never worked with before. But that said, these are serious musicians who like myself have studied their craft and know what there doing. Ya,they could jump up and down, act like idiots and rhyme a few words and become millionaires but they have a sound and a sense that I've seen before,I call it "Creative Flow". All the elements are there and only time will tell and I hope I can help in some way and not hinder .I for one would not give up this ride of life for anything. We all experience tragedy in some way ,and I miss the ones I lost terribly ,but life is what we make it. As for now it's getting time to leave my little love shack on the beach and row phantom's boat towards home.

Turn her into the wind boys, damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!

My first thought @"Turn her into the wind, boys"
was "Southern Cross" by CSNY. I don't know why. :sherlock:
Poor Shmedley, no ice in his scotch! How uncivilized!awww
