Hmmmm....it's kind of a cute and different family portrait being in the tub and all but the pink rifle throws me.

The dog looks like an Irish Wolfhound.

Phantom2 12. September 2009, 16:31

....the dog looks kinda worried! Am I gonna get a bath or a bullet!

Never thought of taking a family portrait in the bathroom!

Linda 12. September 2009, 17:40

I want a pink rifle!

Martin K 12. September 2009, 19:15

I take it, it's The National Rifle Association's new marketing approach, designed to reach single mothers with pets.

Linda 12. September 2009, 19:19

I will buy one. They sold me. And I know how to use it. Very well.

Martin K 12. September 2009, 19:36

Bet ya that there rifle is good for huntin' wabbits, or perhaps bunnies...

Mina 12. September 2009, 20:40

*hangs head* I see now that I don't use my creativity enough when I take pictures....

Stardancer 12. September 2009, 20:44

I like guns. Not much for pink ones, though. Looks like it was dipped in Pepto Bismol.

Is this like an emergency preparedness drill or something?

By the way, did ya' notice the peace sign on her jeans, right below the banana clip?

That photo would mess up a kid for life, P2.

Martin K 12. September 2009, 20:52

The more I look at that picture the more uncomfortable I get. Suddenly I picture what goes on in the house when the kid's put to sleep. Clearly she's a professional, and I know that no professional will keep the clip attached to the weapon unless she's prepared to use it. And then there's the dog. The way it's eyes are shining... Plain damned weird, if you want my honest opinion. Trust me. I've come across some seriously disturbed female big game hunters in my younger years patroling the Nairobi outback.

PainterWoman 12. September 2009, 20:57

I just noticed the kid's thumb on the trigger.

Martin K 12. September 2009, 21:06

That does it! I'm not looking at that picture again. Not ever... The kid's even saluting the photographer, hand-to-hat military style. I don't know about you, but I'm freaked out now. Thanks for the scare, P2.

Linda 12. September 2009, 21:21

I ain't skeered.

Martin K 12. September 2009, 21:29

Good for you, L2. By the way, how come there's always guns included when you and me meet here at P2's place? As far as I remember, last time I had the pleasure of your comp'ny around here was in that shady bar run by Mr Rinse. I seem to recall you was packing a heavy load that evenin'... Right? And please excuse me, but I can't help being just a wee bit alert when the situation includes women and kids with guns.

Linda 12. September 2009, 23:34

I am from Texas, Aqualion. We all carry guns. The kids learn to shoot correctly and accurately at an early age. In case we ever decide to secede from the union again.

Linda, for some reason I already envisioned you owning a chrome 45 revolver with pink hand-grips with delicate inlaid roses .....a bikini top and cowboy hat!

Star, everytime I look at this picture I see something I didn't see before.
I can't focus very well while I'm laughing!

Linda 13. September 2009, 06:20

That dog definitely has devil eyes.

Uh, P2, what do I have on the bottom? :eyes:
Hey, I like that picture, and you can give me that .45 for Christmas. With my name engraved on the barrel.

Mr. Lion, down here in the south where I live we call it "Sportsman's Paradise". When we go hunting we make it interesting......the animals have guns too!
.......and well armed women=low divorce rate! :frown:

.....if you can take family portraits in the bathtub......that pretty much opens up infinite possibilities for you.

Well, I went way out on a limb with the bikini top..... But it's pretty well a givin in Texas......tight Blue Jeans !

Kitty 13. September 2009, 07:24

It is not just the pink gun... the baby or the big dog. Neither is it the fact that they think it's cool to have a family portrait taken in the bathtub. No... look in the background, in the mirror. You can see the legs of the photographer. And.. and... <shudders> He's wearing tennis socks!!! :yikes: :faint:

Phantom2 13. September 2009, 07:36

Oh the humanity! And wearing white after Labor Day! :eyes:

Somebody get this guy Oprah Winfrey's phone number!

Linda 13. September 2009, 07:49

How uncouth!

Martin K 13. September 2009, 07:50

Seriously, I'm not really scared by guns. Actually I'm quite good with a rifle my self and even won a few competitions when I was younger. I'm a country boy too, you see. It's just the whole set up of that picture. It's surreal...

You want to see surreal? Hang around Martin.
I'm going to start posting a picture of the week for you guys to caption.
This one was to see if anyone was interested.

I've owned one gun in my life......an over and under double barreled derringer that you couldn't hit wall with at ten steps. But it sounded like a howitzer going off and shot flames out the barrel!

r♡se 13. September 2009, 12:03

That's one creepy photo! :insane:
The dog loogs like something from the Muppets. And who has only one bottle of *something* on their bath? :eyes:

Martin K 13. September 2009, 12:40

Gun oil, Rose-Marie. Though the clip looks like something from The Dirty Dusin, the rifle itself seems neat and clean. I bet she can hit the center of a bottle cap at a thirty steps range with her eyes clozed. And I am talking about the kid.

Mina 13. September 2009, 14:27

Probably a bottle of horse shampoo.....makes the tail full and soft. Best thing there is for your hair. It was real cheap till people found out how good it is, but still cheaper than some of the 10 step treatment smelly stuff. Used it for years.
........and saves money for more ammunition too!

Marike 13. September 2009, 17:39

*wonders why they chose the bath* :eyes:

Martin K 13. September 2009, 17:51

After a succesful cosey family varmint hunting you need a place to keep the dead animals until you've decided what to do with them. The tub is the sanest choice. Apart from that, I have no reasonable explanation.

Anybody else?

Stardancer 13. September 2009, 19:57

I still think it's some kind of emergency preparedness drill. When the tornadoes come through, people tend to wait them out in basements, or closets, or bathrooms/bathtubs. I see no emergencey food stash, though.

Maybe it IS just a family photo op.

For the Addams family.

Linda 13. September 2009, 23:16

Name of that shampoo, P2, is Mane and Tail, and I have to tell you I have used it.

Karen 14. September 2009, 19:43

I cannot help but notice the TRESemmé in the background. Ooooh Lah Lah! p:
