"Something just ain't right about that Boy"

An Afternoon With Matilda

This post is inspired in part by Nerak's cute little post Walking with Lonnie and Karen about an afternoon walk with her sweetie. Ok,Ok. I stole her idea.
So she can sue me! p:

Uptown with Aunt Tilly.

It was such a beautiful morning, we decided before we would leave
for town to have coffee outside. This is Aunt Tilly's patio garden.
Her green thumb never ceases to amaze me.........:left: :right:

She says she has trouble with the neighborhood kids
in her backyard all the time. o o o o O

Anyway, off we went. First stop was to get her a manicure.
We found this new place downtown so she decided to try it out.

I was tempted, but I didn't go in.......I chose to hang out at the Lingerie shop next door and pretended to shop for something for a girlfriend. The young ladies over there were very helpful and modeled all the new styles I asked to see. :D

Next it was over to see Keith, Tilly's favorite Hair Dresser / Makeup Expert who
at the moment is having ah .... little identity crisis....so to speak.

Tilly says when it comes to head and hair, everybody says he is just the bestest!

Aunt Tilly looked twenty years younger after her makeover,
she had guys half her age checking her out as we walked down the streets.
Man, she was a beaming!

Next, it was over to Tilly's Primary Care Physician, Doctor Kiler.

Good news though, he said the ol' gal is in great shape,
but she should really cut back on the cigars and the vodka a little.

We dropped by to see Leo, Tilly's Financial Adviser, and grabbed a little cash.

Then it was on to the shopping center to get new
Christmas decorations and do some early gift shopping.

We found these at the check-out ....and since Tilly collects condoms from
all over the world, she couldn't resist these for her collection.

We then walked over to the local Farmers Market to grab some fruit and fresh veggies . While we were there, one of Tilly's old boyfriends showed up. :eyes:
Tilly decided she really didn't need those extra apples after all.

As we were walking running back to the car, Tilly saw that a movie by one of her favorite movie stars was playing at the cinema, so we ducked in for a movie.

We gave it :star::star: Doris Day's eyes weren't really blue.

After the movie, we stopped in down at the bus station
to said hello to Tilly's favorite Reggae Band.

With all the excitement of the day, we decided it was time to stop and knock back a few beers at one of Tilly's favorite old hang outs. It's changed a little since she was there last, but she didn't seem to mind at all!

We arrived back from town, and most of Tilly's
neighbors were glad to see we made it back safely.

But according the next door neighbor, while we were gone, Tilly's 45 pound tomcat got loose and was terrorizing all the neighborhood poodles by trying to mount anything on four legs that would stand still long enough.

So, after a joyful afternoon shopping trip, we decorated the house for the holidays, I left Tilly to relax in her own little way.

Sounds like a fine day to me. Nothing like the dimm and quiet humdrum of everyday living. Too many people strive for a high purpose and a profound meaning, ignoring, denying and even opposing the good Lord's gifts. After all, we are all just inmates in Average Prison, Anywhere.

I personally happen to like that place.

Stardancer 9. November 2009, 07:32

You live such a boring life, P2.

fineolwine 9. November 2009, 07:40

This is almost as good as Freakin' StoryLady, P2. I love Tilly's garden, first of all. Those are some really lovely---and promising---plants. Will they have buds do you think or are they all male?

Aunt Tilly is a woman after my own heart. No wonder you think so much of her.

Great day, P2. Really enjoyed this walk with you and Aunt Tilly.

Deb Platt 9. November 2009, 13:29

I enjoyed loved the account of your day with Aunt Tillie. Her garden is sure to attract a lot of attention. Excellent choice of photos to illustrate your outing (or was it the hairdresser's outing?).

BTW Loved Bruce Willis' happy flip-off.

PainterWoman 9. November 2009, 19:05

 Now I know where my hairdresser moved to. I loved that guy. Except he always wore Zorro outfits.

The same for my financial adviser but I didn't love him. Hmmmmm...now I know where my retirement money went.

And in the last pic of Tilly, I noticed she has a glass eye. Both her eyes are different colors and looking in different directions.

Sounds like a fun packed day... Everybody should have an aunt like Tilly!

fineolwine 9. November 2009, 21:28

Pam, only the effects of adding whiskey and pot together in excess! hahahha

Martin K 9. November 2009, 23:13

That particular cocktail doesn't even have to be in excess to be effectfull... As some might know...

Thanks Deb. There really is a "Aunt Matilda " and she's cool, but nothing like this Tilly, and would probably try and spank my butt if she knew I used her name in a post like this!
She's always been my favorite Aunt.

That's why we always let her ride shotgun, she's great at seeing oncoming traffic at intersections. :left::right:
:lol::lol:

I agree, Rose. Maybe there should be some "Continuing Adventures of Aunt Tilly" post?

:eyes: OK Linda. your scaring me knowing so much info in this particular area......or maybe you've got a little secret garden of your own over there little lady?:lol:

Kittylicious 10. November 2009, 10:49

Do you think your aunt Tilly will adopt me? awww

Martin K 10. November 2009, 15:05

Isn't it a little unsuitable to puplicly inquire about a ladies 'secret garden'? Not that there's anything wrong with... erm... secret gardening... but I think the rules are, that the lady will invite you, if she's interested in having her... erm... shrubbery rearranged...

You did read the part about the 21 kilo Tomcat? :D

 Thanks for the reminder, Martin. I sometime forget I'm suppose to be a F**king Gentleman.

Kittylicious 10. November 2009, 18:12

I think it was the mounting part that did it. :o:

(I did not just say that! :left: )

fineolwine 10. November 2009, 18:49

My secret garden isn't open to visitors, Martin. Only one visitor is allowed there. But I thank you for your concern.

P2, I learned a LOT about pot growing from my son and other friends. I might add that I, personally, never grew any, but I know a male and a female pot plant when I see one----and I had to pluck them out of my house plant pots on a regular basis.

Karen 10. November 2009, 21:01

P2! This was freakin' awesome! Steal my ideas all the fucking time if it's going to result in something that makes me laugh my flippin' ass off like this one did!

:sst: I want a garden JUST like that.

Martin K 10. November 2009, 21:14

Most women are quite particular about who they will invite for shorter or longer stays in their secret garden. I'm all in for that. A garden tends to get a bit messy with too much traffick going on, especially in wet weather. You'd sometimes even have to hose down the patio the day after, because of the mess...

That's some funny shit right there!

I think the excitement had already happened to that tree. And it was about to turn over and go to sleep.
