Something is just not right about that Boy

Checking In.....Kinda.

Just a bit of News ........

Posted by Jan -

On December 5th, P2 had major surgery on his shoulder. The doctor suspected nerve damage from the accident and proved to be correct. He may lose some grip in his right hand, but that is to be determined later after his physical therapy (that may cut down on the grab ass around here). He is doing well learning to be left handed.

As for me, I have taken on the unexpectedly large duties of maintaining, with his direction, the 'Diogenes Middle Finger' blog and 'Scene on the Radio' blog with help with the art from his niece, in addition to transcribing the columns he is committed to for this year. I had no idea how hard he was working, and I am exhausted. We have kind of exchanged roles around here, he walks around with my cameras taking covert pictures (see below irked ) and I spend most of my time doing studio business and in front of the computer monitors blogging away.

But I don't mind because my baby is home with me, and since Thanksgiving the house has been full of P2's touring musician friends who stay with us when playing here or in Dallas (girls could I tell some stories!) as well as family friends. It's really been a wonderful time as it always is here during the holidays. This year especially. My Mom and Dad are both coming to be with us this Christmas, neither having been able to be at the wedding, and this will be the first time P2 and my Dad have seen each other in three years. It is always a blast when those two get together! It's going to one hell of a Christmas dinner! happy The cats are already looking for hiding places!

P2 sends his love to you all. heart

Sorry to hear that the big guy might be losing his grip (that comment works on several levels, I've found smile ) - but pleased to hear that something's being done about it.

Very best wishes from Mr Rinse, and - whilst it is so nice to have your company Jan - you'll understand at the same time, that I hope to see him back here asap smile

We need him back in the song quiz, for a start up

Glad to hear that P2 is on the mend, some injuries do take a long time to heal, specially arms and legs. We are all waiting for him to make a surprise appearance. bigsmile

Shoulder damage is an occupational hazard for drummers, I've heard. Good thing he's got enough going besides the drumming to keep occupied and keep the pots and pans full as well.

Greetings from the North (riding the cold winds of Valhalla for the time being - brrrr) and happy holidays!

Let's hope P2 recovers very fast. Would love to be a fly on the wall to hear what your dad and P2 talk about.

Don't know if he either of you saw this or not but Alice Cooper was on the Joy Behar show a week ago. He was always a favorite of mine. And, of course, he lives in Arizona where I used to live.

Merry Christmas to you and your extended family.

Sounds like good days despite P2's shoulder up.
All the best to you guys, and here's hoping for a quick recovery! heart

A little ole thing like nerve damage in the shouder won't keep our rhythm devil down for too long. You can't keep a good man down. Sorry about the injury, but I know he'll overcome.

He is working your butt off while he's playing photographic voyeur? hahah. Sounds just like him.

It's way after Christmas and new year, but I hope you both had a most wonderful Christmas and will have an awesome 2012.

Hurry back all you can P2. I miss you.

Thank you so much for the update, Jan. I hope the two of you (and your parents) had a wonderful Christmas, and I wish for you the best in 2012!

I am proud - indeed, honoured, to be able to bring to you all, footage of P2's brand new band, at their first sell-out gig at the Winona Ryder school for wayward girls in beautiful downtown Blanket, Texas :
