What are you doing, P2. You must be getting REALLY nervous.

I like pigs. They are actually easier to house train than a human baby.

:D If I didn't live in the city, I might have one of them.

Several years ago, I was gallery hopping in Santa Fe, New Mexico. One gallery had a sculpture garden in the back plus a pen for their pig. It was much smaller than the one up above and full grown. I guess there are mini ones? The owner of the gallery and the pig was leaving so he opened the pen and the piggie followed him through the gallery out into the parking lot, and jumped right in the car just like a pet dog would do. All the while this little piggie was wagging its tail. Sooooo cute.

Lots of people around here have pigs. Don't see many of 'em cuddling them like that, though.

:D

Pam, there was a lady who lived a little ways up the lake that had one of these pot-bellied pigs and would take it for short jogs down the winding roads. ( to keep that Reubenesque figure I guess  ) Everyone would stop and pet it and talk to it just like any other neighbor. One day the pig came up missing and the T.V. stations here ran an alert, just like someone's child had been snatched!

When I lived in White Oak, there was a family named Massey who had a pet pig. This pig was housebroken, and used a litter box if it HAD to go in the house, but during day would let them know when it needed to go out. He did all kinds of tricks, including sitting up and begging. They took him for walks every day. He had a harness and leash. Smartest pig I ever saw. They did a "human interest" segment on local TV station about him.

P2, did they ever find the pig?

Phantom2 25. July 2009, 03:13

 Yeah, the Sheriffs Dept. found her asleep on the steps of an elderly lady who couldn't see very well and call in to say there was a body or something on her porch! Poor lady was terrified!

But Elizabeth the pig made it home safe and as far as I know is doing fine theses days
