My OperaBUPA GREAT SOUTH RUN OCTOBER 25TH 2009

Well folks, another year passes by and here we are again at The BUPA Great South Run.
Weather this year bright and sunny with a bit of a breeze, perfect for running the 10 miles.
My time was similar to last year, 1 hour 33 minutes,(5,500th out of 21,000 runners) 30 seconds faster than TV Doctor Hillary Jones, I must train for it next year!! My wife Julie also ran this year and finished in a very credible 1 hour 55 minutes. It was her first 10 miler and she now wants to do a half marathon. I ran the Exeter half in May this year and swore it would be my last one. Looks like it won't be if I have to accompany her.
Plans are advanced for our planned move to Moretonhampstead Devon and I hope to be working at a well known country house hotel not far from there.
Holiday in Tunisia ended on October 17th and our tans are fading fast. We took our running shoes and endeavoured to continue training, though the heat was oppressive. We met Purbeck Runners Steve and Sue there and ran once with them.
