As of now I cannot get away from this feeling. This ecstatic, relentless joy that is filling my every thought. And I can thank Radiohead for it.
It began Monday night. My friend Alky calls me at work. He tells me the greatest news I have heard in a very long time. He describes to me that earlier that day Radiohead has announced they are releasing their new album. Its titled In Rainbows. They are doing it in ten days. From this moment on, I cannot stop thinking about it. Feeling like a little kid, I parooze the internet to feast my mind with more information. I go to my first stop for Radiohead news,

Without a label, without more than a weeks notice, without a static fee, everyone, all at once, can hear Radiohead's new album at the same time. Almost 4 and a half years in the making, and it will be ours the 10th. Talk about a feat. When the best band in music wont use the monopoly we call the music industry, we are in for a new age.
Something about their strategy to release this album is so thought provoking and exciting. This is so fresh. So new. I wont be bombarded with advertisements to persuade me to purchase the album. It wont be slammed down my throat on the radio. It will be moving backward from what I'm used to, and thats the way it should be. You pay what you want for the album, even $0. This, of coarse, is going away from the idea, but it is so revolutionary. Not just for music, but art in general.
Radiohead have changed me. I cannot thank them enough for that. Again.
