Its hard to be creative

So school started a few weeks ago. I'm loving every class, and having a blast being there every day. At some points I feel overwhelmed, but I know its all worth it in the end. So I just had a critique on our first project in my Graphic Design 1 class today. I love being immersed in a creative community where ideas flow and people can give their opinion and share interpretations. It makes me feel so good, and helps me really understand what I love so much about where I am in my life right now. I think I solved the problem of the project well. We had to choose 2 words from a list and visually interpret them. We were sized down to the use of only two typefaces, Gill Sans and Goudy. Now this may sound easy, but it is a lot more challenging than it seems. After hours of work I came up with the below four designs. I am pretty pleased with the results, but as always, theres more I feel I could do to strengthen the pieces. I'm never satisfied









So as I was cruzing around youtube I found a designer by the name of Nick Schrunk
The guy is a master with typography and motion. I am completely baffeled by the work that he does. Inspiring.
