Gentoo Based Distro - Maybe?

I've picked my distro from all my testing, as I've already stated. I've decided to go with Gentoo. From using it, and working with it, I've noticed how amazingly easy it is. I'm actually writing this post from links while I'm compiling my xserver.

So about having a Gentoo based distro. I've been doing a lot of reading about security issues on Linux, Mac and Windows. I've also been doing quite a bit of reading on creating a custom Gentoo LiveCD. Between all that reading I thought to myself about creating a custom Security Distro that is based on Gentoo. It seems like a logical platform to base it on. I like the amount of control it offers. I can make the distro as small as possible while being loaded with network security and other security testing tools.

It's just a baby of a plan for now. First, I have to finish getting Gentoo working on my box.

Luks + LVM on Gentoo isn't the easiest thing ever, despite having a lot of guides out there. I think I'm going to write a quick and easy guide once I get it up and running.

Oh well, Xorg is compiled, now I need to make Gnome-Light and Opera, and I think I'll be totally pleased.

As always,
Happy Hacking
