We have a new camera and it was time to upload some new pictures of Emily. Its been a long time I know, but I think the new pictures and the new camera will make up for the long time it took to get the new pictures online...

Well here they are and enjoy!

Thunder and lightning out here in Wilnis, the Netherlands. Pretty little Emily is sleeping like a baby . My father in law is on the phone and I am updating the blog. I just added a few new pictures and i have a film of Emily, but I will try to get that on the web soon.

Monday Sebina is starting her new job and she is a little bit nervous about leaving Emily all day, but I am sure that her parents will take good care of Emily:flirt:

Emily is breastfed and did not like the bottle, so we were a little nervous about leaving her with her parents, but she is drinking the whole bottle empty with me now, so that's good news!

We will keep everyone in touch with the latest developments, so come back soon and check out the blogs and the photo's.

The family is doing great. We are learning not to eat spicy food because she will cry all next day !
Emily is sometimes very sleepy all day and sometimes awake and crying like today. But we are enjoying every minute of her, just like the grandparents. Also check the photoalbum for new pictures.

My new job is exactly what I was looking for. A small young and great group of developers and designers. We are with two developers and one full-time designer (temp) and a part time designer (1 day a week).

The company is called A-side in the Netherlands and we are growing fast! Besides great google rankings we also have a huge portfolio with satisfied customers. It's not only websites we make, but also print, google ads and banner campagnes.

It was a little switch for me from microsoft to open-source, but I am adjusting quickly. My first project is a recipe and food database for IKEA and the food-supplier and I'm half way now and on schedule, so that's not bad for a first assignment huh?!

The biggest switch to open-source is the massive amount of knowledge recources available, but that is also the disadvantage, because of the junkie code you come accrossed. The advantage is the affinity in syntax with JavaScript, which makes a good website function, especially with the AJAX technique!

This was a classic case of trial and error, but I found out how to "install" a php server. I put install in quotes, because it is really apache that installs on your machine* (*windows xp in my case).

Well, as a newbie to installing Apache, PHP, MySql on Windows I was thrilled by all the really cool sounding sentences like: "i have installed the apache server and i am now configuring the httpd.conf file.."

I still need to install MySql, but I am glad to have my PHP scripts running. It was kinda difficult to get a good tutorial about this installation, because I used the new Apache 2.2 and PHP 5.2.3 with this installation. All the tutorials are php 4 or an early 5 server installing on apache 2.0, but with Apache 2.2 there is a very important difference: the php5apache2.dll module that you load into your apache 2.0 server should be php5apache2_2.dll on a apache 2.2 server. So now you know...
