I have a modded slim ps2 and when i put in the ARmaxEvo disc in and load the code, it asks me to insert the game and press ok. But my slim ps2 doesn't stop spinning, so what can i do?

if i let it run to the beginning and wait for it to ask me again, it stops spinning, but wen i swap the game, it says error reading disc.

How can i get ARMaxEvo to work on a modded slim ps2 that doesn't stop spinning when the lid is open?

Christian B. Gorospe 26. September 2006, 07:41

^weird problem you got there... as ive said i have a modded slim ps2 70006 model this is how i use the armax

1. put the armax cd
2. wait for it to load
3. when it asks me to insert game or dvd i press the eject button and the armax cd will stop spinning and i will put the game cd then CLOSE THE LID AND REMEMBER DONT PRESS RESET.
4. after that it will load the codelist or it will detect and go to the game cheats screen of the game you are using, that is if you have previously use that cheat, & because armax uses the previous settings save on your memory card.
5. put a check on the cheats code you want to activate and when your finish press start it will ask you if you want to start the game with the selected cheats, press ok, then another prompt that will ask you make sure the game dvd is on the drive then press ok, wait for the game to load.

Hmm .. the ArMax cd i got says it's using PSLoader 1.2 ... is there a difference?

and my slim ps2 i think has the sensors disabled so even if you press eject, the disc won't stop spinning.

so here's wut i normally do:

1. put armax cd
2. wait for it to load
3. when it asks me to insert the game, i leave the armax cd in and it will bring me to options to choose ntsc/pal, media player, etc.
4. choose ntsc evo
5. brings me to another option where u can choose expert, memory, settings, etc.
6. choose expert to see the list of codes
7. find the codes i want, check mark it and press "start"
8. it asks me to make sure the disk is in
9. i assume here you press eject to make it stop spinning and insert the game u want, but in my case it doesn't stop spinning. so i press ok
10. it saves, re-loads armax to the #3

Note: forgot to mention, the first time it asks me to insert game and when it lets me choose an option b/w ntsc/pal, etc. the game stops spinning

11. here i change the disc, but it will give me a clicking noise and says error when reading disc.

Christian B. Gorospe 27. September 2006, 02:42

the one that im using <armax> is from the above link, maybe you can dl and try it to see difference, and it doesnt have <PSLoader 1.2> like to the one that you are using right now.

maybe you can upload the armax file you have and i will try it on my ps2

Anonymous 27. September 2006, 06:21

Anonymous writes:

I tried the one from above and it doesn't work. It doesn't even have the screen that let's u choose between ntsc/pal and media player.

The AR i'm using is the april 2006 upgrade

http://www.torrentspy.com/torrent/757202/PS2_Action_Replay_Max_Evo_PAL_NTSC_april_2006_upgraded

besides, it will probably work for you because when you press eject, your disc will stop spinning. when i press eject, it won't, because my sensors are disabled ...

mine is even weirder, after going through the list of codes and press "start game with cheats" then i insert the game and press ok. its just spin like 3 second then it stops and prompt me to ensure the game is inserted.

Any idea what kind of problem im having here?
