Yes, you have limbs

You cherish the sun

Drink the water

Yesterday you slept

Today you rose

When it rains, you run for cover

You are not a tree

Trees are stuck where they are

forced to witness the world

Ask no questions

Receive no answers

Trees pray for wind/rain to end their sentence

They long to be snapped in half uprooted by progress

You, are exactly where you wish to be

Not land locked by roots

Frozen in time

You, are far from tree

Remember this

As you sit in the shade they never get to feel
