The day after yesterday

As volatile as memory is ; remember this.

Turn on the heating please

Autumn has crept up on us this last week and in the appartment where I live it's quite cold. The heating is set up for the whole building so I have to wait till it's turned on.
In the meantime to warm the place up I'm putting candles everywhere and cooking pies in the oven.
All very romantic!

This is one of the candles I'm using tonight to keep warm. It'll last the evening with its twenty or so friends.

On my calendar it's still summer, what will it be like in a few months?

Oops. There goes the timer for my cake.

So what did you do so special today?

- So what did you do so special today?

- Dunno, same as yesterday, nothing really, or nothing really special.

- Well you should think about doing something special everyday, something different to remind you that today was different and life doesn't just go by being filled with sameness.

- Hmm. OK, but are you gonna buy anything or what.

Don't forget your keys

We all have keys and we use without thinking much about what they represent. Most people when leaving home will mentally check they have their, telephone, their wallet and their keys.
Some people proudly carry lots of keys on a keychain the way others boast lots of friends on facebook.
It's part of growing up. Your first key to the house, then your first car key.
Then when getting old you have less keys. Too old to drive so no car key, to old to live alone so no house key.
I've cut mine down to 4 keys and dream of a world where they're not needed.

Two milk bottles chatting in a swimming pool!

Les demoiselles coiffées

Somewhere in high up from the Serre-Ponçon lake (haute alpes) are these rocks which were protected from erosion by the "hats" they're wearing.
On this winding mountain road there's nothing else to see, but it does make a 5 ùinute break from driving.

This morning

After a sleepless night, finally sunrise.
