Welcome to Presslynx! cat

Wildlife finds its way into the media for all kinds of reasons. The stories that result often raise interesting issues worthy of further thought, but they can also be written in ways that are highly misleading, or just downright absurd. Check back here often to find commentary on wildlife news from around the world smile

Hey, did you see the one where the forest ranger was letting a bear go from a cage and the ranger was standing on top of the cage which was in a truck and he lifted up the gate -- then the bear came out, turned around, and jumped on top of the gate and gnawed on him!

@Elly - hmm, that sounds like precisely the kind of story that is only being half told by the press! wink Do you have a link for it?

Actually, my children told me about this incident. They saw a film of it and were shocked when the bear turned around and attacked the ranger. I admit it is hearsay!

Will email and talk to my children to find out more info. May take a while as college has just begun for one, high school for another and law school for the third. smile
