Taking in that breath of fresh air
Dreamt of for days on end
Kipping me in bed for those few minutes longer
Almost tasted it has bin
Leaving a lingering strawberry caramel chocolatey feeling

That figment escapes the imagination
Graceful flee as it transforms into reality
Sweet freedom rejuvenates all my senses
As if the world had bestowed me as its new king.

The sun shines brighter every morning
Even the wind blows much slower across my skin
Each dawn takes a few hours extra of rest nowadays
It knows no replacement could better suit the job than my bright smile

Radiance never thought it had a cousin
Shackles of pain never imagined they could be broken
My life glows in a better light each day
The past now echoes in a muted state
Drained, suppressed and silenced

And all of it began in the mind
A simple, immaterial thought
A longing to live a happier life
It all began with a dream
