Follow Me

This very rarely happens, on first listen I often think a song is good, or could be good, and as I listen more I realize if it is realy great or not, or sometimes after a while it just loses that something. This hasn't yet happened with this song, and I kinda doubt it will.
Maybe it has to do with the movie's greatness and the effect it leaves, but on the other hand the song is a big part of the effect also.
The whole soundtrack was written by Kenji Kawai, but this song is performed by Kimiko Itoh, and it can be found on her album from 1989. About.com in an article about the movie lists the lyrics and authors as follows:
Follow Me
Music by J. Rodrigo, lyrics by H. Kretzmer/H. Shaper
Ediciones Joaquin Rodrigo, Madrid
Follow me to a land across the shining sea
Waiting beyond the world we have known
Beyond the world the dream could be
And the joy we have tasted.
Follow me along the road that only love can see
Rising above the fun years of the night
Into the light beyond the tears
And all the years we have wasted.
Follow me to a distant land this mountain high
Where all the music that we always kept inside will fill the sky
Singing in the silent swerve a heart is free
While the world goes on turning and turning
Turning and falling.
Btw, I still sometimes can't access IMDB. Annoying

I listen to music in much the same way. It strikes me, and then it either grows on me or I grow tired of it.
I have the same access issues with Opera.
