It seems now that Imdb.com is not available at the moment. It also had problems yesterday. It is more likely that it is a DNS problem than the actual servers beign down.

This bothered me more than usual, because I had DNS problems two days ago and many pages wouldn't load without any pattern. On other computers in the network those sites worked fine. Finaly I realized that I had explicitly configured the DNS in my connection settings, and that server was probably down. I changed it so that my router is the primary DNS server, as it should be anyway.

So while I was investigating, I found this site: http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/, that helps cheking is your pc, dns, ip, or whatever the problem, or is it at the site end. For instance you can directly check for imdb like this http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/imdb.com

As you may know megaupload wants you to download their toolbar so that you can freely download stuff off their site... and as you are probably thinking, there has to be a catch. adn there is, as most toolbars, this one can also be apotential hole for viruses, and is tracking you web behaviour.
but there is a way around it, it just creates two cookies, so with a script for firefox (not sure how to put it in opera, but I guess I will try ), you don't need the toolbar

Somthing ubelievable is happening:
google is unavailable...

I was tweaking something about the net, and was testing it with a standard try to go to google.com. Which failed. For no aparent reason. And it was working just 5 minutes ago. Weird, so I tested it on the other machine, to check if my connection is ok, and I kliked on one of the speed dial links and it worked. Then I tried google - no go.

so now it's been a while and it is still not working, of course all the related service are down too, and the local googles are, of course, also down.
photobucket is down too, I saw that on another site that was linking a picture...

weird. a search thru the internet (without google - how do you search it ) showes that there was some downtime also in 2005 link. Then they aparently said it was somekind of a DNS issue. Maybe it's happening again.

just got informed I will be moving to a new web server... so some tuning and re-uploading will happen I guess...

well I was to update the lyrics base anyway.
