A Summer of Action, the Next Phase of the Revolution

Over the past few months, I have met more activists for truth and liberty than ever before. I have met libertarians campaigning for Ron Paul, 9/11 truth activists, people young and old seeking the truth, seeking to share it with others, and seeking change. Many of these people have asked me, at what point do we resort to violent revolution. Many feel that it is already justified, and I have trouble disagreeing with them. We do need a revolution, and it may need to be violent, but we have not yet exhausted the efforts that must precede violent revolution.

I have analyzed some of the history of revolution. I have examined the possible scenarios we face and sought a solution. This paper will discuss the status of our revolution, what we must do before we resort to violent revolution, and why. I will provide a plan called the "Summer of Action," which calls for weekly street actions and shows you how easily you can start doing them. By engaging in the Summer of Action, we may create the change we seek. If not, then I expect that we will at least enable ourselves to move to the next step in our revolution.

Blueprint for Global Enslavement

Through the internet, documentary films, radio, and word of mouth, many Americans are awake and aware of the current threats to liberty. Based on the ratings of pro-liberty web sites, radio, and television programs, as well as the way Americans vote, I can make an estimate of what the number of awake and involved Americans. Alex Jones' radio show is said to get as much as three million listeners. Over one million people voted for Ron Paul in Republican primaries this year. A few million people have watched documentaries like America: Freedom to Fascism, End Game, Loose Change, and TerrorStorm. Polls show that fifteen percent of Americans are libertarian, while only two percent vote libertarian.

The demographic we face is one where 95 percent of people are trapped in a left-right, two party political paradigm. At least fifteen percent of Americans are awake and aware about government corruption, 9/11, and the economic situation, while about five percent understand the central banking conspiracy that lies behind all these issues. About five percent of Americans are prepared to make a stand right now, however, a very tiny percentage are active. The only hope for this country is that this five percent gets active right now.

Five percent of American is over one million people! If those people take the step from understanding to physical action, it will enable us to change this country. In fact, if only a handful of people in every city start acting, we can increase those numbers of people who are informed, while also increasing the numbers of informed people who are active. When informed individuals see others taking action, they are more likely to do so too. When those who are not informed see people take action, they will pay more attention to the issues.

I hear many people in this movement for truth and liberty discuss the need for revolution. Revolution is possible with only five percent of the population active (just ask George Washington about that). However, that five percent can only succeed if a majority of the rest of the public is sympathetic to their cause. Violent revolution is a last resort. If it is attempted prematurely, it will be easily interpreted as insurrection. The revolutionaries will be projected by the establishment and their controlled media as a fringe group that is a threat to public safety and security. Revolution must follow a process that begins with non-violent action.

Once we are aware of the need for change, we must first take non-violent action on a large scale. This gets our message out to the public. It shows our commitment and credibility, building sympathy for our cause amongst the general public and those working within the government. Once that is established, rights can be fully declared. Government authorities then have the choice between either respecting our rights or forcefully opposing them. Public sympathy is a strategic advantage for the revolutionaries at this time. It can dissuade authorities from using force.

When the revolution has reached the point where an authority must decide between respecting rights or using force, there is a good chance it will use force. It is a poor decision on their part. The revolutionaries now have permission to take their cause to the level of violent action. They are a non-violent group that was assaulted by a violent oppressor. The general public will be sympathetic to their cause and offer support. Sympathetic members of the government will support them from the inside. Members of neighboring countries and their governments may also offer support.

Let's look at the American Revolution as a successful example. The people demonstrated their opposition to taxation without representation. They authored a "Declaration of Independence." They took physical action just to the edge of non-violence (some may argue the Boston Tea Party was violent because it destroyed property). The British government then became the violent aggressor. Troops shot protesters in the Boston Massacre. Finally, at Lexington and Concord, armed troops were on a mission to disarm the public. A group of citizens stood in their way. Shots were fired, and a revolutionary war began. The British were seen as the aggressor. While a small percentage of the colonists were actively engaging in the revolution, they had the sympathy of a great majority by being first non-violent but very assertive, then defensive.

Loose Change Final Cut

Here is the method that we will use, the method of successful revolution:

First, the group of people who is being oppressed must be aware of their rights and how those rights are being oppressed (some people will never even come to accept this fact). Those who accept must then take the step of action. They must address their grievances to their representatives in government. They must vote accordingly.

This is already an area we are failing to accomplish. If you vote for a candidate for office who is not committed one hundred percent to your liberties, you are willingly granting permission for others to take away your liberties.

I tried to address this issue earlier this year by starting the "People's Candidate Initiative." The mission of the initiative is to find candidates who stand for our rights, to only vote for those candidates, and to actively support their campaigns. Here are the qualifications I determined are representative of a people's candidate:

  1. The people's candidate is not supported by corporate or foreign lobbying and financing.
  2. The people's candidate does not participate in elitist think tanks, secret organizations, or secret meetings (i.e. Bilderberg, CFR, Skull & Bones, Trilateral Commission).
  3. The people's candidate's policies are in line with the U.S. Constitution.
  4. The people's candidate supports a non-interventionist foreign policy discouraging military aggression.
  5. The people's candidate supports policies for other issues, such as economics, education, and regulations, which keep choices, services, and property in the hands of individual citizens and local communities.

Edwin Vieira, Jr., a lawyer specializing in constitutional law writes,

That “the government is denying us our rights” and even that “the government is oppressing us” are complaints all too commonly heard among patriots today. Yet, although instances of public officials’ misbehavior are both numerous and serious, this characterization of the situation obscures the true cause of and proper remedy for the problem.

Surprising as it may seem to some, as a matter of law it is impossible for “the government” to deny Americans their rights, let alone to oppress them.

The United States and each of the Union’s constituent States is a constitutional republic. The fundamental principle of constitutionalism is that some powers are granted to the government and others withheld. At any moment, “the government” — whether national, state, or local — consists of the set of behaviors by the people in public offices that comport with the powers and absences of power (“disabilities” as lawyers say) set out in the supreme law. Where the supreme law guarantees individuals certain rights, the government lacks any power to infringe, abridge, or deny those rights.

There is only one catch to this system: the people must exercise their authority to govern themselves. They first may do so by voting these officials out of office. How many incumbents were reelected in 2006 after voting in favor of the Iraq War, the Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act, etc.? If the answer is "any," we are not doing our job. The answer is "very many." We must refuse to vote for any candidate who does not meet all six qualifications of a "people's candidate." It does more good to not vote at all than it does to vote for one of the "evils."

There is only a handful of people in the U.S. Congress who meet the qualifications of a people's candidate. These are Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, Scott Garrett, and possibly a few others. We must refuse to vote for any others. No more "lesser of evils." The lesser of evils is still evil. If you vote for any of candidate who does not meet the six qualifications, you are neglecting to exercise your right to representative government. You are also inhibiting the ability of responsible voters to protect their rights.

Many who read this would now argue that voting will not effectively restore our liberties. It is correct that a majority of Americans will not be convinced to vote in this manner, and we will continue to face our problems. It is also true that the election system is rigged against us in every way possible. We do not have an open election system that ensures that every vote is counted. However, voting (or perhaps not voting) is only one of many steps to restoring our liberty. Most of the steps will not be initially successful in restoring liberty, but are necessary parts of the process of revolution.

If you are committed to defending your liberty, the most important step you must take in this process is physical street action. Part of my reason for writing this is to stress that you do not need a group to accomplish physical activism. It is quite easy to do on your own or in a small group, and I will provide you with the ideas and resources you need to do it.

The mission of the Summer of Action is for every activist to do at least one physical action every week from reading this paper until the November general election. If you must miss a week, you will have to do two in the week before. Make no exceptions; our situation is too dire to make any exceptions. This may seem like a difficult and unreasonable expectation. You have a busy life with many other commitments. Again, our situation is too extreme. We are faced with no other choice. I understand your situation, so I will now provide you with ideas and resources that I have created or gathered from other activists. This resource will make it possible for you to start taking action today. If we carry out the "Summer of Action" as I have written it here, "We The People" may be empowered by this November to exercise our rights to their fullest extent. If the Summer of Action has not done enough to completely restore our rights (possible but not likely), it will allow us to move on to the next step of our revolution.

The following is a list of ideas for distributing information via street actions. Some of the ideas may be considered unethical, or prohibited by some people or institutions. That is for you to decide. I have simply selected actions on the basis that they are not violent or destructive to others' property.

  • Print flyers. Hand them out to people in a public place. You can just go downtown for an hour or two almost any time during the weekend, and there will be people walking about who you can talk to. Sometimes it is even better for the streets not to be crowded. Be sure to make eye contact and express your views in a concerned manner that shows compassion. Some flyers are available for download at the WeAreChange Central Indiana web site.
  • # Distribute flyers in other means. Slip them into newspapers and magazines at a newspaper stand or bookstore. Slide them under doors to offices, apartments, or hotel rooms. Post them on bulletin boards and in places set aside specifically for brochures.
  • Utilize your public libraries. Libraries often have space available for the public to post flyers and brochures. They also have facilities that you could use to arrange a group meeting or a presentation. When targeting libraries, provide books that people could check out to get more information. Some examples might by Ron Paul's The Revolution: A Manifesto, John Perkins' Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, or many works by David Ray Griffin regarding the attacks of September 11th and the need for investigation. These should be available at most libraries and bookstores. Just like bookstores and newsstands, you can slip flyers into materials such as related books, music, and movies. You can also encourage your libraries to carry books and movies that inform people about issues important to you. Schedule some actions that target the libraries in all of these ways.
  • Create banners. You can make these yourself with some bed sheets, spray paint, and stencils, or you can have them professionally printed at any print shop (i.e. Kinko's, Staples, etc.) for $100-$300. You can hold banners in marches or demonstrations with a group. You can also hang them over bridges in high-traffic areas. Stick to short slogans that are easy to read and simply grab attention to the fact that there are people taking action. "Ron Paul r3VOLution" and "9/11 was an inside job" are popular choices. Web site addresses such as "Infowars.Com," "TruthAwaits.Com," or "IndyTruth.Org" are also good choices. Be creative too!
  • Create posters. You can print these yourself, make them with markers or paint on posterboard, or have them done in a print shop. You can post a little more information on a poster than a banner. Place them on utility polls, walls in high traffic areas, and bulletin boards.
  • Get creative with signs and posters. You could make signs that you can stick into the ground. You could also print bumper stickers for cars and other places.
  • Canvassing door-to-door for political candidates is one of my favorite actions. Pick a "people's candidate" like Ron Paul or someone running in your local area. Get details about their issue stances. Ask each person you talk to what issue is most of important to them in the election for the particular office. Share the candidate's record or platform on that issue alone. Hand them literature. Be polite, and head on to the next house. It is a short contact. If you find people who are interested in a candidate, help them get involved in the campaign as donors or volunteers. Leave behind literature at houses where no one answers the door. This is a great way to meet people, introduce them to new ideas about political issues, and get people focused on learning more about candidates before they vote.

This secret session has received scant press, so far. The Amero and the North American Union are being sold as the solution to the economic issues in secret session of Congress. Savvy how they threatened the Congress people assembled to emotionally manipulate them to assume that "they and their families" will be saved from the madding crowds, to get them on the side of the NAU and their own democratic extinguishment. Much of this has been revealed because Congress is pissed at being threatened with the dissolution of the country as the 'only solution' to the economic issue--an issue caused by instead of helped by the Federal Reserve. Except for a few hundred thousand U.S. Patriots, most Americans have no clue what has really been going on within The United States over the past 100 years, and the sad thing is that most do not want to know the truth. The further you look into the rabbit hole, the deeper it gets. Go to any currency conversion site and convert U.S. dollars to Euros so you can see for yourself the massive decline of the dollar. Look at how much money is and has been spent on the Iraq War to date, ($12 billion per month). Look at our currency and when it stopped being backed by gold. The Federal Reserve is not federal but a private bank who does not have Americans best interests at heart. We no longer have any manufacturing really based out of America and there is no way that our economy can survive this incredible strain very much longer. The IRS strong arms every American yearly with income taxes, yet there are no laws saying an income tax is to be paid. The CIA is involved in everything from global drug trafficking and covert military missions, to assassinations around the world and including U.S. Soil. Look at JFK for instance. It did not take long after JFK announced that he was going disband the CIA that he was shot in Texas. America's new StasiThe Department Of Homeland Security is and has been slowly eradicating our rights for a few years now. based organization called House Bill H.R. 1955/S-1959 was read by the senate and then sent to DHS for some reason, but is now back and sure to pass. Once passed, this bill introduced by Jane Harman (D/CA), will be the proverbial last nail hammered into every American patriots coffin. H.R. 4279 or the Prioritizing Resources and Organization for Intellectual Property Act of 2008 which was recently passed by the U.S. House of Representatives, will give the government draconian powers to do just this. This legislation gives the government the power to seize property that facilitates the violation of intellectual property laws. The legislation also mandates the formation of a formal Intellectual Property Enforcement Division within the office of the Deputy Attorney General to enforce this insanity...
It has been revealed that F.E.M.A. has been building internment camps all over America granting Halliburton a massive $385 million dollar construction contract to make this happen. Most of these sites only need refurbished because they are mostly closed prisons, old WW2 internment camps still intact and other facilities taken over by the government. Some people have referred to them as F.E.M.A. Death Camps where the infamous Red list/Blue Lists will be used to decide who goes where. Whether you believe that The NWO/Illuminati/Globalization is real or not, there is a lot of proof that exposes definite plans or plots by the rich, political and religious elite to bring on an era of the end times. It is almost like some individuals are trying to make bible prophecy come true in their own sick and twisted ways. Not to mention that the world only has about 10 to 15 years of drinking water left before the wars fought for oil today will be fought for water in the near future. It has been said that these powers want to depopulate the planet of over 30% of it's human inhabitants in the coming years. Examine all of the executive orders that have been signed into place allowing the president to basically become dictator in control of all government from tribal to federal in the event of any national emergency. If you did not know, In late 2006, Congress revised the Posse Comitatus Act and the Insurrection Act to make it far easier for a president to declare martial law.
Those changes were repealed at the end of this January as part of Public Law 110-181 (HR 4986), the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008 (signed into law by President Bush on January 28, 2008). Unfortunately it is not the great victory in which one might think because of the total militarization of all local and State police forces all across America. Will there be martial law? Is martial law coming soon to America? When you see law enforcement being armed with automatic weapons, bullet proof vests and riot gear in small towns that have not had a murder or crime in years, then you have to ask yourself why. The United States has more people locked up in prisons today than Russia and China combined. It comes out to one in every hundred Americans is behind bars. Our once great country that our ancestors fought and died for has become exactly the tyrants they were fighting. Fascists! When has America ever used words like Homeland? Never! Check out your local potable/ drinking water supplies, non perfumed chlorine bleach is a good sterilizer for water, about 2 teaspoons full per 2 gallon bucket, stirred well and allowed to stand for at least 24 hours with a lid on it or until it no longer smells of bleach. Boiling water helps but it is not always enough to kill off the bacteria which can resist high temperatures. Americans have been warned for years of the things to come, but have blindly looked away from the truth, which has been available for all to see. Hegemony is a concept that has been used to describe the existence of dominance of one social group over another, such that the ruling group -- referred to as a hegemon -- acquires some degree of consent from the subordinate, as opposed to dominance purely by force. The processes by which a dominant culture maintains its dominant position: for example, the use of institutions to formalize power; the employment of a bureaucracy to make power seem abstract (and, therefore, not attached to any one individual); the inculcation of the populace in the ideals of the hegomonic group through education, advertising, publication, etc.; the mobilization of a police force as well as military personnel to subdue opposition.

The ECHELON program of the National Security Agency made this right moot a long time ago.
Amendment V No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation. Corruption in the judicial system is so entrenched that this right also vanished decades ago.
Amendment VI In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense. The declaration from the dictator that certain persons can be designated "enemy combatants" removed from any judicial oversight is an invalidation of this right. This abuse of power could easily be scaled up to encompass much larger numbers of victims.
Amendment VII In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise reexamined in any court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law. The "enemy combatants" declaration shows that this right has been invalidated by the regime.
Amendment VIII Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted. A peaceful protestor at the 2000 Republican National Convention was detailed on a one million dollar bail for an alleged misdemeanor. This right to be free from cruelty is a nice idea.
Amendment IX The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people. We the People have the power to take back the country, if we really want to.
Amendment X The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people. The Constitution did not provide for the establishment of a National Security State beyond the rule of law.

Nuclear explosions produce both immediate and delayed destructive effects. Blast, thermal radiation, and prompt ionizing radiation cause significant destruction within seconds or minutes of a nuclear detonation. The delayed effects, such as radioactive fallout and other possible environmental effects, inflict damage over an extended period ranging from hours to years. Each of these effects are calculated from the point of detonation.

The term "ground zero" refers to the point on the earth's surface immediately below (or above) the point of detonation. For a burst over (or under) water, the corresponding point is generally called "surface zero". The term "surface zero" or "surface ground zero" is also commonly used for ground surface and underground explosions. In some publications, ground (or surface) zero is called the "hypocenter" of the explosion.

Most damage comes from the explosive blast. The shock wave of air radiates outward, producing sudden changes in air pressure that can crush objects, and high winds that can knock objects down. In general, large buildings are destroyed by the change in air pressure, while people and objects such as trees and utility poles are destroyed by the wind.

The magnitude of the blast effect is related to the height of the burst above ground level. For any given distance from the center of the explosion, there is an optimum burst height that will produce the greatest change in air pressure, called overpressure, and the greater the distance the greater the optimum burst height. As a result, a burst on the surface produces the greatest overpressure at very close ranges, but less overpressure than an air burst at somewhat longer ranges.

When a nuclear weapon is detonated on or near Earth's surface, the blast digs out a large crater. Some of the material that used in be in the crater is deposited on the rim of the crater; the rest is carried up into the air and returns to Earth as radioactive fallout. An explosion that is farther above the Earth's surface than the radius of the fireball does not dig a crater and produces negligible immediate fallout. For the most part, a nuclear blast kills people by indirect means rather than by direct pressure.

The effects are similar to the effect of a two-second flash from an enormous sunlamp. Since the thermal radiation travels at roughly the speed of light, the flash of light and heat precedes the blast wave by several seconds, just as lightning is seen before thunder is heard.

The visible light will produce "flashblindness" in people who are looking in the direction of the explosion. Flashblindness can last for several minutes, after which recovery is total. If the flash is focused through the lens of the eye, a permanent retinal burn will result. At Hiroshima and Nagasaki, there were many cases of flashblindness, but only one case of retinal burn, among the survivors. On the other hand, anyone flashblinded while driving a car could easiIy cause permanent injury to himself and to others.

Skin burns result from higher intensities of light, and therefore take place closer to the point of explosion. First-degree, second-degree and third-degree burns can occur at distances of five miles away from the blast or more. Third-degree burns over 24 percent of the body, or second-degree burns over 30 percent of the body, will result in serious shock, and will probably prove fatal unless prompt, specialized medical care is available. The entire United States has facilities to treat 1,000 or 2,000 severe burn cases. A single nuclear weapon could produce more than 10,000.

The thermal radiation from a nuclear explosion can directly ignite kindling materials. In general, ignitable materials outside the house, such as leaves or newspapers, are not surrounded by enough combustible material to generate a self-sustaining fire. Fires more likely to spread are those caused by thermal radiation passing through windows to ignite beds and overstuffed furniture inside houses. Another possible source of fires, which might be more damaging in urban areas, is indirect. Blast damage to Stores, water heaters, furnaces, electrical circuits or gas lines would ignite fires where fuel is plentiful.

Direct Nuclear Radiation Effects

There are several kinds of radiation emitted from a nuclear explosion including gamma, neutron, and ionizing radiation.

Direct radiation occurs at the time of the explosion. It can be very intense, but its range is limited. For large nuclear weapons, the range of intense direct radiation is less than the range of lethal blast and thermal radiation effects. However, in the case of smaller weapons, direct radiation may be the lethal effect with the greatest range. Direct radiation did substantial damage to the residents of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Human response to ionizing radiation is subject to great scientific uncertainty and intense controversy. It seems likely that even small doses of radiation do some harm.

Fallout

Long-Term Effects of Nuclear Weapons
In addition to radioactive fallout there are long term effects on the atmosphere and climate.

Fallout radiation is received from particles that are made radioactive by the effects of the explosion, and subsequently distributed at varying distances from the site of the blast. While any nuclear explosion in the atmosphere produces some fallout, the fallout is far greater if the burst is on the surface, or at least low enough for the firebalI to touch the ground. The significant hazards come from particles scooped up from the ground and irradiated by the nuclear explosion. The radioactive particles that rise only a short distance (those in the "stem" of the familiar mushroom cloud) will fall back to earth within a matter of minutes, landing close to the center of the explosion. Such particles are unlikely to cause many deaths, because they will fall in areas where most people have already been killed. However, the radioactivity will complicate efforts at rescue or eventual reconstruction. The radioactive particles that rise higher will be carried some distance by the wind before returning to Earth, and hence the area and intensity of the fallout is strongly influenced by local weather conditions. Much of the material is simply blown downwind in a long plume. Rainfall also can have a significant influence on the ways in which radiation from smaller weapons is deposited, since rain will carry contaminated particles to the ground. "ICH" -- During a BBC radio interview on Wednesday, UN Secretary General Kofi Annan created a controversy by reiterating his long-held position that the Iraq War was illegal because it breached the United Nations Charter. [1] On Thursday, the imperial leaders of the "Coalition of the Willing" retaliated by vehemently arguing that their Iraq War was, to the contrary, legal. [2] Obviously, this dispute raises a legal question: "Whose opinion is correct, and whose is incorrect?" Additionally, we should be asking ourselves: "Who decides? (i.e., 'Whose jurisprudential opinion shall be dispositive for purposes of resolving this dispute?')" It seems eminently reasonable -- even for the disputants -- to conclude that the optimal source of guidance on this question of international law would have to be the world's foremost experts in the field of international law. Hence, the UN's chief and the coalition's leaders need to know how the world's top international law experts would resolve their jurisprudential dispute. And we, the people, need to know who's right and who's wrong here. Realistically, one cannot seriously expect the disputants -- much less their national electorates -- to wade through numerous legal documents, most of which contain rigorous and not-occasionally tedious reasoning, to find the correct answer. Thus, it seems prudent to proceed directly to the world's most authoritative answer to our pressing question du jour: "Was the Iraq War legal, or illegal, under international law?" And The World's Most Authoritative Answer Is ... Among the world's foremost experts in the field of international law, the overwhelming jurisprudential consensus is that the Anglo-American invasion, conquest, and occupation of Iraq constitute three phases of one illegal war of aggression. [3] Moreover, these experts in the international law of war deem both preventive wars and preemptive strikes to be euphemistic subcategories of outlawed wars of aggression. And the experts' answer would hold true regardless of whether their governing legal authority was: (A) the UN Security Council Resolutions that were passed to implement the conflict-resolution provisions of the UN Charter; or (B) prior treaties and juridical holdings which have long since become general international law. [4] Readers who need to "trust but verify" (i.e., to corroborate) for themselves that the experts' overwhelming opinion is exactly as stated above should read a document entitled "15 January 2003." Skeptical readers who don't regard this highly-authoritative conclusion as an adequate answer are invited to undertake the legal reasoning for themselves at the ES website. For instance, it's an undeniable fact that Messrs. Bush and Cheney have been arguing along the campaign trail that "The Iraq War was legal!" Nevertheless, the mere fact that they've been vehemently arguing that point certainly does NOT make it true! Their argument is flawed by a logical fallacy called an ipse dixit (i.e., "something asserted but not proved"). As we've already seen, their argument is just plain WRONG AS A MATTER OF LAW! Therefore, Messrs. Bush and Cheney are making a false argument (i.e., deceptively asserting something that is untrue). The Bottom Line Americans should reject the temptation to vote for Messrs. Bush and Cheney, because: (1) both men were advised beforehand that their decision to commence the invasion of Iraq would be blatantly illegal under international law; (2) they invaded nonetheless, and now they're cynically attempting to mislead the public again by falsely arguing that "The Iraq War was legal!"; (3) however, their argument is legally-meritless nonsense -- the current equivalent of their earlier false argument that torture is a legal method for the US military's interrogation of prisoners; (4) they've repeatedly demonstrated their disdain for universal human rights and democratic governance under the rule of law; and (5) the 21st-century world isn't Tombstone's OK Corral and they certainly aren't Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday -- however much they might wish us to believe that they are! Ehren Watada: a Soldier Refuses an Illegal War
Ehren Watada (born 1978) is a First Lieutenant (1LT) of the United States Army who in June 2006 deserted to avoid deploying to Iraq for his unit's assigned rotation to Operation Iraqi Freedom. Watada said he believed the war to be illegal and that, under the doctrine of command responsibility, it would make him party to war crimes. At the time he refused to deploy, he was assigned to duty with the 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, part of the 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, as a Fire Support Officer. Watada is the first commissioned officer in the U.S. armed forces to publicly refuse deployment to Iraq.His court-martial ended in a mistrial on February 7, 2007. A second court-martial, originally scheduled to begin July 23, 2007 has been postponed until October 9, 2007. The bottom line truth of the matter is this, the mode of production of a capitalist system is profit before people...They made their now they gotta to lay in it.The system is designed to squeeze more and more out of the dollar by exploiting the people's labor; that is the nature of the beast. So they take the work abroad leaving you and me as an underclass (unemployed) destine for death, disease and prison. Create more wars to take the money out of our pockets and put it back in theirs. If you look at the job history of federal government officials and corporate America you will notice that they are the same people. They use the police/military to protect their stealing from us. Knowing that the people will resist and what is about to come (the second American Revolution) the police state is in full effect. Most of the people are the hard working and just trying to make ends meet (the working poor). And most "middle class" Black people are two paychecks from being homeless. The monopoly capitalist /global elite control all the means of production. However, they do no work; rather they travel the world over to take other peoples natural resources/raw materials and make you and me produce that raw material into a final product for slave wages and then, through their mass media advertisement, put us under a consumer hypnosis. Thus, they sell the same product that we produced back to us at astronomical prices/and most of the time its some shit we didn't need it anyway. Think about it, in this film who is it that they are talking is owed most of this interest and principle? As I have said elsewhere, the gatekeeper, maintained and upholder of white supremacy / racism is their media. This is a broadly researched documentary film that exposes the corporate white media's long-term agenda to standardize white people as the "social norm" for general American society and the world. Through the globalization and centralization of the corporate white media and its constant propagation of repetitive images depicting white people in positive roles and as protagonists while usually depicting people of color (epically Blacks) as antagonists -- more frequently than not connected to negative themes and stereotypes -- the corporate white media, under a charge from the global elite have been able to effectively condition general society into subconsciously adhering to a racist social hierarchy in which white people are at the very apex. It was exhibited in theaters in select U.S. cities. This documentary covers many subjects, including: the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the income tax, the Federal Reserve System, national ID cards (REAL ID Act), human-implanted RFID tags (Spychips), Diebold electronic voting machines, globalization, Big Brother, taser weapons abuse, and the alleged use of terrorism by government as a means to diminish the citizens' rights. But with the passage of the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, America was firmly lashed to the same yoke, so that a small number of very rich men have been able to lay upon the masses a yoke little better than slavery itself. That yoke inevitably grows heavier with ever-compounding interest, and totals over $20 trillion of debt owed by the American people today ($80,000 per American) ultimately to these bankers.

This vast accumulation of wealth concentrates immense power and despotic economic domination in the hands of the few central bankers "who are able to govern credit and its allotment, for this reason supplying, so to speak, the life-blood to the entire economic body, and grasping, as it were, in their hands the very soul of the economy so that no one dare breathe against their will."

Columbus did not set sail to prove the world was round. He set sail to find gold, spices, and silks, and other riches in Asia. Columbus never set foot on North America. On October 12, 1492 he landed on an island he named San Salvador, which is located between Florida and Cuba. No one is sure which island it is today. Columbus didn't discover America. He is thought to be the first European to travel to the new world. Ancestors of today's Indians discovered America. When Columbus came to the Americas in 1492 there were as many as 70 million people living here. The original inhabitants of the Americas had established advanced civilizations. The Maas had a system of mathematics and an accurate calendar. The Incas built a system of bridges and roads. The Aztecs' capital city was bigger than any European city of that time. Why aren't we taught the whole truth about Columbus' actions and the devastating consequences of those actions? Why are we only told about Columbus, who as a boy who always wanted to sail and then when he got older Spain provided him three ships & he sailed across the ocean and DISCOVERED A NEW WORLD! (where millions of Taino had lived for thousands of years and which we now call the Caribbean Why are we only taught about that FIRST voyage, and not the other 3 voyages, when all hell broke loose? Why aren't we taught about how on the second voyage, unlike the first when Columbus only had 3 small old ships, Columbus was given 17 large ships and 1,500 armed men eagerly signed up for the chance to go to the "New World" with hopes of getting rich quick on the gold to be found there? Also, why aren't we taught about the greed and brutality of the Spaniards against the Taino (who have been remembered as " naked savages" in our history books, if at all), and how the Taino were murdered and enslaved on that second voyage? Why are we not taught about the third voyage & how when King Ferdinand & Queen Isabella of Spain heard about Columbus' actions in the "New World" he was sent back to Spain in chains to stand trial for his crimes, was convicted and stripped of his titles? Or, how the Spaniards tricked 80 of the Taino leaders into a hut and burned them alive? Isn't to omit the ugly part ofthe truth considered LYING BY OMISSION? Then, that is what our schools are doing when they only teach about the first voyage, they are lying by omission to our students, and we as a improperly educated country have a holiday for an evil, greedy, slave-trading, murderer. Some people say he is worthy of the honor of a holiday for his nautical genius, but the Vikings sailed across the ocean to North America 500 years before, Marco Polo sailed to China & India 300 years prior and the Chinese set foot upon the very shores that Columbus did 71 years prior to the arrival of Columbus, the difference being, Columbus "claimed" the land and cites the Papal Bulls with giving him the authority to do so if no one disputes the action, and Columbus according to his journal, was careful to add that no one disputed it at the time, while admitting at the same time that they could not understand each other, so how could they be expected to understand what his flag-planting and pronunciations meant? Many people will argue that Columbus brought Western Civilization to what is now known as the United States, and that is the reason the US bestowed upon him the honor of a holiday. But how can we make that correlation when Columbus, working for Spain, came in 1492 and the European colonizers who came here TWO HUNDRED years later, came from England? If Columbus is worthy of being given credit for this "achievement", wouldn't it have happened 200 years earlier and wouldn't we all be speaking Spanish now as the countries he invaded do? Some people think he is deserving of the honor because he proved the world was round, but this was already a widely accepted belief by educated people at the time as Ptolemy, the ancient astronomer and geographer from Egypt, declared that the Earth was spherical in the second century. Why do 17 states refuse to recognize and/or celebrate Columbus Day? Why do protesters gather and march at every Columbus Day Parade? And, WHY is Columbus honored with one of our 8 federal holidays in the US when, (a). He didn't "discover" us, or anything previously undiscovered or uninhabited (b). He never set foot on what is now U.S. soil. (c). His legacy is greed, theft, destruction, brutality, slave-trading and murder (d). It is offensive to Latin American, African American and Native Americans( (e). Native Americans, who were here and are worthy of a holiday, still don't have one. And why have the Taino people of the Caribbean and those in the US,whose ancestors have paid such a huge price for the misfortune of being"discovered", been erroneously declared extinct and are therefore denied legal recognition by the government? General Custer and the whole US/CAN Gov'ts were their Hitler TRAIL OF TEARS In 1830 the Congress of the United States passed the "Indian Removal Act." Although many Americans were against the act, most notably Tennessee Congressman Davy Crockett, it passed anyway. President Jackson quickly signed the bill into law. The Cherokees attempted to fight removal legally by challenging the removal laws in the Supreme Court and by establishing an independent Cherokee Nation. At first the court seemed to rule against the Indians. In Cherokee Nation v. Georgia, the Court refused to hear a case extending Georgia's laws on the Cherokee because they did not represent a sovereign nation. In 1832, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Cherokee on the same issue in Worcester v. Georgia. In this case Chief Justice John Marshall ruled that the Cherokee Nation was sovereign, making the removal laws invalid. But still.... (you cant fight the laws of the ones that invent them and decide...) May 17, 1838 with 7000 men. Early that summer General Scott and the United States Army began the invasion of the Cherokee Nation. In one of the saddest episodes of our brief history, men, women, and children were taken from their land, herded into makeshift forts (CONCENTRATION CAMPS) with minimal facilities and food, then forced to march a thousand miles

Slave Catchers/Resistors 1 - Deal with the Devil Slave Catchers/Resistors 2 - Stono Rebellion The Stono Rebellion 1739 South Carolina, September 9, 1739:
A band of slaves march down the road, carrying banners that proclaim "Liberty!". They shout out the same word. Led by an Angolan named Jemmy, the men and women continue to walk south, recruiting more slaves along the way. By the time they stop to rest for the night, their numbers will have approached one hundred. What exactly triggered the Stono Rebellion is not clear. Many slaves knew that small groups of runaways had made their way from South Carolina to Florida, where they had been given freedom and land. Looking to cause unrest within the English colonies, the Spanish had issued a proclamation stating that any slave who deserted to St Augustine would be given the same treatment. Certainly this influenced the potential rebels and made them willing to accept their situation. A fall epidemic had disrupted the colonial government in nearby Charlestown (Charleston), and word had just arrived that England and Spain were at war, raising hopes that the Spanish in St. Augustine would give a positive reception to slaves escaping from Carolina plantations. But what may have actually triggered the rebellion on September 9th was the soon-to-be-enacted Security Act. In mid-August, a Charlestown newspaper announced the Security Act. A response to the white's fears of insurrection, the act required that all white men carry firearms to church on Sundays, a time when whites usually didn't carry weapons and slaves were allowed to work for themselves. Anyone who didn't comply with the new law by September 29 would be subjected to a fine. Whatever triggered the Rebellion, early on the morning of the 9th, a Sunday, about twenty slaves gathered near the Stono River in St. Paul's Parish, less than twenty miles from Charlestown. The slaves went to a shop that sold firearms and ammunition, armed themselves, then killed the two shopkeepers who were manning the shop. From there the band walked to the house of a Mr. Godfrey, where they burned the house and killed Godfrey and his son and daughter. They headed south. It was not yet dawn when they reached Wallace's Tavern. Because the innkeeper at the tavern was kind to his slaves, his life was spared. The white inhabitants of the next six or so houses they reach were not so lucky -- all were killed. The slaves belonging to Thomas Rose successfully hid their master, but they were forced to join the rebellion. (They would later be rewarded. See Report re. Stono Rebellion Slave-Catchers.) Other slaves willingly joined the rebellion. By eleven in the morning, the group was about 50 strong. The few whites whom they now encountered were chased and killed, though one individual, Lieutenant Governor Bull, eluded the rebels and rode to spread the alarm. The slaves stopped in a large field late that afternoon, just before reaching the Edisto River. They had marched over ten miles and killed between twenty and twenty-five whites. Around four in the afternoon, somewhere between twenty and 100 whites had set out in armed pursuit. When they approached the rebels, the slaves fired two shots. The whites returned fire, bringing down fourteen of the slaves. By dusk, about thirty slaves were dead and at least thirty had escaped. Most were captured over the next month, then executed; the rest were captured over the following six months -- all except one who remained a fugitive for three years. Uncomfortable with the increasing numbers of blacks for some time, the white colonists had been working on a Negro Act that would limit the privileges of slaves. This act was quickly finalized and approved after the Stono Rebellion. No longer would slaves be allowed to grow their own food, assemble in groups, earn their own money, or learn to read. Some of these restrictions had been in effect before the Negro Act, but had not been strictly enforced.
