Linux, falcon
I've discovered a scripting language called
Falcon. It's an open-source language, and looks like the developers want the language to be able to do anything through any method possible. The best way I can describe it is to call it an "open language" - you can program OOP, procedural, or functional.
You can use any Unicode-encoded language, even mixing multiple languages. You can create objects without classes. Dictionaries (maps) can use other dictionaries as keys. Tabular programming makes data manipulation simple.
Anyway, Falcon will be a major part of my Linux distribution. My plan is for tcsh to be the default shell for all non-root users, and I'll probably write most of the scripts in Falcon.

software, software development, Wink
It's about time I write a real electronics post...
For hobbiest software developers (or developers with little money), it is often difficult to provide users with quality instructional material.
With Wink (cost: $0.00), your problems are solved! Wink captures screenshots, allows you to add relevant information (information boxes, voice recordings, etc.), then saves everything in Flash format. You can also export to other formats, including PDF and EXE.

The other day, I was in a gas station and I saw a sign saying something like "Buying cigarettes for minors could cost you." What bothers me is what it said under it: "It's not only wrong. It's illegal."
What have we become, that we care more about what is illegal than what is morally wrong? It's a letter of the law versus spirit of the law thing here. Have we become so self-centered that we care more about being punished than we care about hurting someone else?

SpeedDial is fun. It's pretty bad though, I only have four pages I really want in there.
