Helm's a'lee

Having spend the previous two Wednesday evenings racing on a friend's plastic boat, I thought the Brigadoon was probably feeling neglected, so I spend a pleasant hour and a half sailing around the river. I passed a dozen kayakers off Macquarie Wharf, and a fairy penguin outside Kangaroo Bay. Wind was N-NE. Boat speed 3-5 kt. Ran towards wharfs, close-hauled towards bridge, ran then reached around wharf then beat back to Kangaroo Bay. According to my GPS and compass she's making 12 - 15 degrees leeway when close hauled under main and staysail.
