I'm back?

, , , ...

To begin with I was never gone, just didn't felt like posting anything. I'm still here, reading the forums, people's blogs, taking pictures...

Lately I've been shooting a LOT, I started taking my camera(Film camera, Zenit E with Helios 44-2 lens) with me pretty much everywhere(except for that one place :D), I go out and take pictures almost every day, and it really is loads of fun, going to photo meets, meeting people who think alike and enjoy similar things. Here's a photoalbum from a local photography forum meet: Link to photo album

Recently I started shooting with film instead of digital camera, generally I'm supposed to belong to the "digital generation", despite that I was still really curious how does the analog way of taking pictures work, so I found an old Zenit E laying around in my dads closet, and took it out for a spin. Got a bunch of film, and started shooting, shot 2 rolls of film shot already. I can't wait to get the film processed and scanned, I hope there'll be some good stuff there

BTW: A link to my photos

Coxy today asked me who are the people in my photos, the answer is pretty simple: its the people around me, friends, family, classmates, and fellow photo-hogs

I got a bit distracted after writing this, so this will be the end for this post, too lazy to continue P:

P.S Recommended song: Cindy Lauper - Girls just wanna have fun

Vacation and April fools

, , ,

Its finally spring vacation for me! I've been shooting a lot of pictures, and doing parkour, its so much fun.
In the pics on the right you can see a macro shot of a tree, parkour shot, and another one from Critical Mass in Vilnius. You can find more of my pics in the albums, so be sure to check them out.

Its my first time shooting a critical mass event, its really fun, a lot of people gather with their bikes and ride. Too bad I don't have one :frown:. Somebody at the front had a music player, and turned up Queen - Bicycle race really loud, it looked weird, a bunch of people riding the street with music playing.

It was April fools day today, but just as last year I did nothing funny.

Too lazy to write more, will make a new post soon though.

Google finally made a linux version of picasa, yay

http://picasa.google.com/linux/

This won`t work unless you`re from USA, other people can go to same page with proxy.
This link worked for me: http://67.18.35.242/-picasa.google.com/linux/index.html

RPM (Red Hat/Fedora/Suse/Mandriva x86): http://dl.google.com/linux/rpm/stable/i386/picasa-2.2.2820-5.i386.rpm
DEB (Debian/Ubuntu x86): http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/pool/non-free/p/picasa/picasa_2.2.2820-5_i386.deb
BIN (Any x86 Linux distribution): http://dl.google.com/linux/standalone/picasa-2.2.2820-5.i386.bin
