art, MyOpera
... just to see if the RSS feeds on the right get updated if I post something.
I don't like the slide show widget for the photo albums in the sidebar. Why doesn't it have a link to the album itself?
Speaking of photo albums, let me try this "Add images/files" feature I now see below my post entry field...

I still like this drawing, a lot.

comics, blogging, MyOpera, RSS
...
I like the ability to add RSS feeds and have their titles show up in the sidebar. I don't like how my feeds show up on the links pages themselves - it may be technically correct to render HTML tags in a feed literally (I don't know, and don't really care to), but Bloglines doesn't do it that way, and all those tags make the text illegible.
But having my feeds on the front page is neat. I've added my own blog and webcomics sites.
Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan,
The Lives of X!Gloop,
Waffle and
Chronicles of the Witch Queen are now linked to their latest updates from the front page, making this blog a one-stop Reinder Dijkhuis shop:p Take that, Livejournal! Of course, Livejournal has the sheer size of its community in its favour - this is more important in the long run than technological superiority.
Chronicles of the Witch Queen hasn't been mentioned on this journal yet, because the website hadn't been launched when I last posted. It's a webcomic I'm sharing with two Norwegian creators, Geir Strøm and Daniel Østvold. You can tell they're Norwegian from the øs. Uhm, I've been working with them for a decade now, and the idea behind the site is to republish work spanning that entire period. The current story being serialised is
The Double, written by Geir and drawn by Daniel in 1995/1996, and edited and lettered by me. The next storyline will be a collaboration between Geir and myself from 1997. If you like original fantasy comics, give the site a look.

browsers, MyOpera, blogging, Opera
Let's see if this new community is any good. Ooh, I like the interface.
I am actually weaning myself off Opera-the-Browser because version 8 has been the worst release ever, worse even than the 4.* releases. But I'm still holding out hope that they will get it right again and release a product that doesn't crash trying to do such complicated things as load a couple of webpages.
Since switching to Safari on OSX I've rediscovered the joy of opening up to ten pages from the bookmarks in tabs simultaneously! I hadn't dared to do that in months. The user interface in Safari is inferior to Opera's in almost every way, but at least I'm getting things done in it.
This blog interface is pretty neat though. Ooh, tags! Let's try some.
Ehm, it is very nice that I can enter some links, but what happened to my old links? And why should I trust My.Opera to keep any new links I enter if they've already made a set of links disappear once?
