What if Jesus was here Today

In this world today we have become so accustomed to the bizarre that we are willing to accept almost any act without batting an eye. It was called future shock after the book by Alvin Toffler (even though it was just the opposite) when I was growing up. We accuse New Yorkers of being cold hearted folks who step over bodies on their way to work without ever noticing.
I'm starting to learn that the term we used years ago that the world was getting smaller no longer applies. It has already shrunk. People are over this planet are virtually the same.
In talking to a group of Native Americans in Arizona I was fastenated in enjoying their sense of humor as they recalled being extras in a cowboy and Indian movie. They chuckled about the one "white man" bullet being shot and 4 "Indians" falling off their horses.
I listened intently as an American man who had married a Nigerian woman told me his story about having to adhere to the custom and send $50,000.00 to her family for the dowry. She did however inform him that they had made him a king in Nigeria. His complaint, after a reality check, was that what they had made him was a fool.
It seems that no one seems to see the obvious until after the fact. This started me wondering what would it have been like if Jesus lived today. With that in mind I prepared a brief illuustration of my conception of just one incident that Jesus might have found himself in. As you can see the fact of his feat (no pun intended) would go without notice in this time of acquiescence.

People are going to have to realize that spirituality is based on faith.
Jesus came here and lived a life to show us how to live ours. He even gave his own life to show us that life doesn't end with the physical being. Imagine the reality of being there yourself in his place. This is real. Think about them grabbing you and telling you to renounce your beliefs or die in a terrible fashion.
I have told Jesus many times that I am strong, I am brave but I could not hold a candle to his faith and his courage in what he did for us (not for himself).
God is great in my thoughts. Well, some of us are gong to get the chance in the first tribulation to make that decision that Jesus made. I have talked to Jesus to ask for his strength and help to keep me in my faith at all cost when that time comes soon.
I keep telling myself that I'm lucky to have experienced life as I have to learn so much about the wrong way so I would know the right way. I've had an unusual life...My kids are grown...Come on (S)satan bring it on...with Jesus by my side you will never break me...Jesus is my savior and God is my only God!
Sorry...I got carried away.
BTW...Religious poetry is one of the many, many things we have at whitestones.us
I would list everything but there's not that much room on the internet...lol (how's that for self promotion?)

In English that's:
I begged Great Honey Bear to ask you to be a member of "Poetry In Motion" and vouched for you and promised her 4 of my 8 children and a Popsicle!

I think most people shy off from religious implications but I welcome comments of any kind because i have come to realize we can't separate ourselves from reality. Religion has so many different meanings to people but to me it is a statement of what life is and how we live not just an affiliation to a ritual.
"Scripture" to fit would make my hair stand up in a Mohawk hairdo and make my bones tingle with a silly excitement!
