After seeing Al Gore's Documentary "An Inconvenient Truth" more than 3 times, the obvious question is: What can I do? In addition to becoming a CO2 neutral person and making all the changes at home that I could, I've realized there is more that I can do to help with this global issue. I´m an artist (Singer, Actor, Composer, etc.); so, I asked my great friend Master Excalante (Arranger, Producer, Composer, Orchestra Director, etc.) for his thoughts on the idea of making a spanish version of the beautifull song called "I Need to Wake Up" by Melissa Etherige, to share it's touching impact with the world's spanish speakers (This single is on the album called "The Awakening" by Island Records)
Excalante agreed that it was a great idea. It was at this point that the work became a collaboration. In the ensuing hours, I worked at my home to create the first proposal. The next day I showed it to him and he gave me some suggestions and very good ideas. We loved the final result. On the third day we recordered the new spanish version at Master Excalante' studio, in Monterrey Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Excalante made a new musical arrangement and I performed the lead vocals.
We believe Al Gore is doing a great job in leading the world to connect our own behavior with the necessity to prevent Global Warming. This is the way we've started to take action...
We would like to ask permission from Participant, Island Records or any pertinent person or institution to have this spanish version delivered to Mr. Al Gore. Our hope is that he uses the song in his crusade. We believe that the song can be a new resource to connect emotionally with world’s hispanic community and facilitate necessary changes in all spanish speakers who listen to it…

Calentamiento Global!!! ¿Qué puedo hacer hacer yo?

Después de haber visto más de 3 veces el Documental “La Verdad Incómoda” de Al Gore, la pregunta obvia es: ¿Qué puedo hacer yo? Además de convertirme en una persona CO2 neutral y hacer todos los cambios pertinentes en casa… Ahora que he comprendido cuán grande es el problema, no puedo quedarme sin hacer nada… Yo soy un artista (Cantante, Actor,Compositor,etc.); así que le dije a mi gran amigo el Maestro Excalante (Arreglista, Productor, Compositor, Director de Orquesta, etc): -¿Qué piensas de la posibilidad de hacer una versión en español de la hermosa canción llamada “I Need to Awake” de Melissa Etherige? con la intención de compartir su conmovedor impacto con toda la gente que no habla inglés… (Este sencillo pertenece al disco: "The Awakening" de la disquera: Island Records)
Escalante me contestó: -Rico, es una gran idea… Entonces, me fui a mi casa y trabajé tratando de escribir una primera propuesta. Al siguiente día se la mostré a él y, después de darme algunas sugerencias y muy buenas ideas, decidimos trabajar en ella toda la tarde…
Nos encantó el resultado final… Así que al tercer día ya estábamos grabando la nueva versión en español en el estudio del Maestro Excalante, aquí en la Cd. de Monterrey Nuevo León, México… Excalante hizo un nuevo arreglo musical y yo grabé la voz principal.
Nosotros creemos que Al Gore esta haciendo un gran trabajo al guiar al mundo para conectar nuestro propio comportamiento con la necesidad de prevenir el Calentamiento Global.
Esta es la manera en que hemos empezado a tomar acción… Esta canción fué hecha con fines meramente ecologistas y su publicación en este blog no es con fines lucrativos.
Nosotros queremos pedir permiso a Participant, Island Records o a la persona o institución pertinente para poder darle esta version en español al Sr. Gore pues nos encantaria que él la usara en su cruzada… En el caso, por supuesto, de que él la considerara como un nuevo recurso para conectarse emocionalmente con la comunidad hispanica mundial… (Si tu puedes ayudarnos a lograrlo, escribenos por favor). Deseamos que esta versión pueda crear cambios en los hispano-parlantes que la escuchen…

Intenté hace dos días postear, sin embargo no me dejó.
Tanto que detesto la tecnología.
No me confundan con el arcangel Gabriel en "Soldados de Dios". (Bueno, es chiste local.)
Por cierto , ya saqué también un blog de aki de my opera y de blogspot..
Estuve escuchando la canción, cantas muy lindo, felicidades.
Los artistas no tenemos otra opción más que concientizar a la ahumanidad de lo que esta sucediendo, en vez de envenenarla más con futbol, novelas, comerciales y esas cosas.
Me gustan las plantas, son lindas. Guardan extraños y maravillosos espirititos adentro. Como las hadas, gnomos, y protectores de la naturaleza.

Me parece increíble la interpretación.
Te cuento que podemos comenzar a disminuir la contaminación ya que actualmente existen las MGP-Caps que reducen en un 95 % los gases tóxicos que emanan de los autos, camiones, etc
Soy distribuidora de estas pastillas y la presentación que se realiza cada semana para los invitados, se abre con el video de Wake Up traducido y la verdad es conmovedor por eso estaba buscando la versión en español y tu voz me parece increíble. Deberías hacer un video....
