RitOk, a long as we understand each other there is no problem to write in english and russian Well, some times I use the dictionnary when I'm not very sure, but I have learnt russian very little, a long time ago ... it is a pleasure for me to train and develop my lnaguage skills in any language (known and unknown)

zetorres, I have never been to Portugal or Russia , but I used to know people from both countries and I can say that they are nice people and great friends

Yep, the letters are almost the same, but that's the resemblance. There are word that on the one language mean absoluthely different thing on the other you may have a curious situation. I have a lot of russian technical books, my mom's to be exact, where there is a lot of and interesting information, so I was courious and some times I read them, that's why I can understand what's written.
Don't worry that you have forgotten english, practise is everything. the begining is difficult but later it will be easier, so don't stop to practise and try
