Welcome to Rita´s blogg..

I write to discover what I think..and what I have discovered is that I don`t do that much of thinking at all.

It´s a girl!

It´s a girl!!
I´m so happy for you congratulations on your little miracle.
We are wishing you a lot of fun with your little one.

Back in town from my trip

After a lot of thinking I decided to go to Iran to visit my relatives mainly my cousin who was “suppose” to have a baby.

It was so much fun to see them again, I had really missed them especially my wacky cousin Arvin whom I shared many laughs with.
But soon enough I remembered where I actually were which was Iran an extreme Islamic republic which isn´t exactly my favorite travelling destination.

Coming from Sweden “the land of the free” were equality between the sexes are as important as breathing (compared with Iran )it feels like going back in time when women had no rights our apartheid in the states.
Women/ African Americans have different right or any rights at all.

There are so many things you have to think about don´t wear to much make up, wear a veil if your outside don´t dress “improper” and so on.
I tried not to think about it but it´s hard when you´re constantly reminded.
You just keep thinking why isn´t anyone saying or doing something, they need e new Rosa Parks who will stand up and take a stand and say enough is enough.
For example if you want to take a cab you have to take the one for women or if you´re taking the bus you have to sit in the back. It´s like Hello where am I?!
Fortunately my relatives have cars…

What bugs me the most is the hypocrisy. We are living our lives in a religious way and blablabla.
Everything that isn´t aloud which are a lot of things people are doing anyway. So what is the point?
Why must you force your religious beliefs on someone else, shouldn´t it be a personal choice?
At least it teaches us not to take things for granted I guess.

Anyhow there was so much to do and so little time since I only went there for a week. I meet as many people as possible and we managed to see a lot of things.
Iran has a lot of beautiful places that are worth experiencing especially in Esfahan a beautiful town.

But the one thing that I origanally went there for I didn´t get to experience which was the birth of the baby.:insane:
The baby will be born tomorrow Monday the 14 of April and my cousin is having a C-section.
So our thoughts are with you and we hope that everything will work out just fine and that you will have your little “Nathalie” in your arms soon.

Agility Debut

Agility Debut
Friday 28 of March

Finally our debut day, the day we have been working so hard for.
I was very pleased with the last week’s agility practices. Jerry-Lee really improved and overcame all the challenges and he was more than ready for our first competition.
It didn´t really go the way that I had planned but it sure was an important experience for the both of us.

When we arrived there we met a lot of dogs, big ones, small ones, brown ones, white ones.
But overall the most popular breed was Border Collies (big surprise).

Before entering the agility field we took a quick walk and warmed up with different tricks.
When we entered he began to look for his pack (my mom and my brother who came to cheer for us).
I could hardly get any contact with him and when it was our turn we walked to the first obstacle and I sat him down and gave the commando STAY.

Just when I said Go! He jumped the first, second and third but when he got to the balance obstacle he made a U-turn and headed straight to the audience platform (to his pack)
Unfortunately we got disqualified and I really wanted l to finish the race but we couldn´t.
Disappointed yeah! But still, he managed to put a big smile on my face. The audience seemed to enjoy it as well.

So next time no one is invited! No one we know::yes: But if they really want to come they have to get there on their own and also be in a disguised.:ninja: :chef: :raider: :smurf:

Hopefully our next competition will have a better outcome.

That is all for now.

The number 23

Wednesday, March 19
Today was a special day, my birthday!

I got a great gift from Jerry-Lee in the morning, a kiss and a drooly football.
Yapp I turned 23 and I spent my evening with friends and family.
We had dinner at a Greek restaurant, they had great food.

I also went bowling which was fun apart from me being soo bad at it. Also it should be mandatory to warm up before playing
They should have a warning sign at the bowling alley that say´s WARM UP BEFORE PLAYING.
I actually pulled a hamstring and it really hurts. Maybe I´m the one who isn´t in shape.

Then we had some cake (with wippcream and mixed fruits) at our house and I got to open my presents and there was a lot of them.

Gifts that I got in alphabetical order::rolleyes:
2 massage gift cards, climbing plant, cooking notebook, dinner, dog food, doggy bone, flowers, gift cards , homemade gloves, Mp3(but I´m going to exchange it to a sewing machine instead).

I couldn´t have asked for a better birthday.'
Thank you !!!
Don´t forget to check out the pics!
Now I´m off to work…buhu..

Catch you next time.

Practise makes perfect..

These last couples of weeks have been pretty intensive with a lot of agility training.
We have put down a lot of time an effort and everything is just going swell.

We have our first competition this week but unfortunately I don´t think that we can participate.
Last night Jerry-Lee started to limp on his right paw. Hopefully it will get better before the competition.
I was so looking forward to our debut but there will be other chances I guess.
So for these next day´s we will just rest and take it from there.

Catch you later!

Birthdayparty

My brother turned 26 last night and I had a big surpriseparty lined up for him.
It was a lot of fun but also a lot of work but in the end all that hard work finally paid off.
It all started about 3 months ago when I started planning for it. Sending invitations preparing themes and so on.
We decided to have a Salsa theme with Salsa music and the tacos.

It was very stressful because I was always afraid that someone (or even me) would slip up and say something.
All of his friends did a good job of deciving him and that is not the easiest job in the world. Usually he likes to be on top of everything but not this time. But we managed to keep it a secret.
Thank God that´s over now. I don´t think that I have ever lied as much as I have this last couple of weeks but it sure was worth it.
Thanks to my cousin all of this was doable, without her help it would have been quite a task.

Great music, delicious food and an excellent group of people made it all a huge success and I think that he really enjoyed it.
Thanks to all of the people that made this possible.
I hope that you all had as wonderful night as I wished that you would.
I have uploaded some pictures for now and I will add some more later.

:hat: Birthday Poem For My Brother:hat:
I'm fortunate, and I'm glad
I got you for my brother;
Even if I had the chance,
I wouldn't pick another.
I'm happy you're in my life;
You're a winner, come what may.
May your birthday wishes come true
On your very special day.

The New Year

The New Year is a significant event for many people. Many people look forward to the New Year for a new fresh start. It´s the opportunity to let go of the past and get a brand new start. Another chance to get things right. Maybe you smoked your last cigarette and had one last drink.
I for one haven’t made any resolution because quit frankly we all know he who makes one is a fool. Instead I promised myself not to make any resolution to spare me the disappointment of not keeping them.

Last night we spend the New Years Eve at our friend’s house out on the countryside.
It was really the perfect place to celebrate the New Year. A beautiful house with a warm and cosy fireplace.
We had a typical Armenian/Swedish dinner with coco, a bean and beef stew with rice, potato gratin and wonderful beetroot – salad. Even Jerry-Lee had his share of Christmas ham which was much appreciated.
Time went by so fast and before we even knew it, it was time to bring out the bottle of champagne. There is no better way to start the brand new year then with alcohol=) and that we did indeed.*LOL*

I hope you all had a wonderful New Years Eve with your friends and family.
May all your troubles last as long as your New Year's resolutions.
Until next time.
