Day 365 - FIN

365 days down, 0 to go.
A wise man once said "all good things must come to an end", and so does my Mosaic365 project. It has been a long road to say the least and I have cherished every addition...all 365 of them. For me it is a somber moment to bid farewell to something that has become very much part of my daily routine over the past year. As I write this post, it's with a heavy hart I bid you all farewell. Many of you have been with me from the very beginning and I can assure you that there is more to come from the imagination of Riz. I hope you enjoyed reading and viewing my posts as much as I did making them and hopefully got to know my and my world a little better or perhaps even got to know yourselves better. This is a bitter sweet moment for me folks because although I hate to see this project end, I am happy for it's completion. Now the next step is to figure out what to do with my masterpiece. So I will be taking suggestions here on my blog in the comments section or on my facebook and twitter pages.

My final addition will be painting confetti atop my canvas because as I make this post, I can still see traces of confetti in my hair and around my house in remembrance of the NYE blowout we had. Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing your ideas.

Day 364 - ONE MORE FILLER TO GO

364 days down, 01 to go.
As I fill up one of the two remaining sections that still has exposed canvas shining through, I can't help but breadth a huge sigh of relief knowing that I have only one more day left to complete this year long project. Looking at the canvas in all it's mosaic glory, I can feel a tear almost dropping from my eye because the end is near.

My addition today is my second to last painting session on my canvas. It is a white filler in my Blackberry BBM bubble.

Here is a closer look.

Day 363 - IM DREAMING OF A WHITE FILLER

362 days down, 03 to go.
Today I filled all the white canvas empty spots with white pant, in essence elimination all un-painted sections of my canvas. So no longer can you see the white bare canvas shining through on my painting but instead it's been painted over with white paint leaving two sections of the canvas that are still yet to be filled. Take a gander below.

Day 362 - END OF YEAR FILL

362 days down, 03 to go.
With 3 days to go until the completion of my painting, making fillers is my focus. So to that end I added another fillet today.

Here is a closer look.

Day 361 - 5 DAYS TO GO

Wow I can't believe I have only 5 days left to complete my Mosaic 365 project. It seems like I begun this journey so long ago and now the finish line is in sight. It has been a very revealing experiences as it thought me a lot about how my day and life is influenced by thins around me. Being able to put my experiences to canvas has been quite a cathartic experiences and I look forward to it's completion.

For today's addition, I am still on my hole plugging spree so my addition will be exactly that. I will be plugging up another hole as I near the end of my project. I guess my excitement for not only the impending completion of the year but of my project has me eager to be able to look upon my canvas and not see the white canvas coming through except for regions I intentionally painted white.

Day 360 - BOXING DAY FILL

360 days down, 05 to go.
I'm still not sure why the day after Christmas is called Boxing day but I'm sure there is a description on Wikipedia and here it is: Boxing Day is a bank or public holiday that occurs on 26 December, or the first or second weekday after Christmas Day, depending on national laws. It is observed in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and in some Commonwealth nations. In South Africa, the public holiday on 26 December is called Day of Goodwill, and in Ireland St Stephen's Day or Lá an Dreoilín.

Although the same legislation – the Bank Holidays Act 1871 – originally established the bank holidays throughout the United Kingdom, the day after Christmas was defined as Boxing Day in England, Scotland and Wales, and the feast day of St Stephen in Ireland.[1] A 'substitute bank holiday in place of 26 December' is only possible in Northern Ireland, reflecting the legal difference in that St. Stephen's Day does not automatically shift to the Monday in the same way as Boxing Day.

So I guess from the description, Boxing day is actually tomorrow. However my painting still needs a filler for today. So here it is.

Day 359 - MERRY CHRISTMAS

359 days down, 06 to go.
With the war in Afghanistan still raging on, it seems I didn't get my world peace wish from Santa but there is always a next year. So with this post, I just wanna wish you all a Merry Christmas and i hope you had a wonderful day today like I did.

For today's addition, I will be painting on Santa's hat on the only tree that exists on my painting to symbolize the joy and hope of this season. I definitely think Santa represents the joy and hope of this season because on one hand, you are hopeful that he brings you your wish and when he does, you are fill with joy for a wish fulfilled.

Day 358 - TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS

358 days down, 07 to go.
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there. And as is customary then night before Christmas, I hung up a few candy canes and stockings in hopes that Santa heard my requests. I look forward to some world peace first thing Christmas morning.

So for today's addition, I will be painting on a candy cane to symbolize this night before Christmas.

Day 357 - BLACK FILLER

357 days down, 08 to go.
Today I'm plugging up my Dexter blood splatter area with black because the only other color that goes with death besides red is black as I strive to wrap up my year long project by plugging the remaining lingering holes on my canvas.

Here is a closer look.

Day 356 - CANT HELP BUT FILL

356 days down, 09 to go.
I can't get away from the fact that I am just over a week from completion and still got a number of holes to plug. at last count, there are abut 10-12 spots that need to b filled and the clock is fast running out on my project.

So for today and probably the next few days, I will be on a filling spree in hopes to plug most of the holes in time for my grand new years day addition.
