Dilemma

, ,

Here I am on the horns of a dilemma again. For some reason I have a problem IDing Hawks and other Raptors.
I think this one is a Red-tailed Hawk. It had a buddy sitting on a post across the road from where it was sitting! So I think they were probably a pair!

I can't help on the i.d. but it's a fine looking bird.

Adele, I can have the bird in front of me, a photo of it, and the book in the other hand and still can't seem to make them out!

Possibly a Harris---and that's all I can think of. I certainly don't know, and I can't see the top of it's tail. Whatever it is, I think all raptors are beautiful birds. Something very regal about all of them.

Linda, nope, not a Harris. They don't range this far north? It is pretty in any regard!
