The smallest duck is this little diver, the Bufflehead. They are very quick and are probably one of the fastest flyers. They are also quite shy, so I was happy to get this shot of a little hen.

T, it was playing with me! If I walked one way down the trail it swam the other way and vice versa! I finally hid behind a tree and got her as she swam by looking for me!
